Yes, actual pizza is only made right in the Metropolitan area. No idea why that is. Guess you just have to get a variation of it, like Chicago style or go to gigios.
no man. I mean it sits at another table in the middle; literally most of the pizzas sit there. And you have to wait til waitress comes back to grab you a slice. The first slice or any slice?
Cuz its pretty common at deep dish places that the waitress just has to serve everyone their first piece and then after that its a free-for-all.
But if this Burt's place requires you to sit and wait for them to serve every slice I could see that being annoying.
Even at a Giordanos I will start serving my own first piece if dey walk away on me.... dey get mud lol. **** you doe.... I'm paying for dis pizza.... don't forget da napkins and walk off for 5 mins....
I know lacan borrowed a lot from the archetypes theory
did he stuff bacon and cheese, in a crust?
One of the first pizza places in Chicago was called Sparga at about 5700 W. Diversey. When they began they made Pizza without cheese that was back in the 40s. Eventually you could get their pizza with cheese. We would order one each way. Here is the only picture I could find
i think when outsiders think Chicago pizza, the first places that come to mind are Giordano's and Lou Malnati's....
overrated?
The answer is Pequod's Pizza. Best deep dish in the city. Anytime a friend comes in from out of town, Pequod's is automatic and usually end up going 2x.
A 9mmI'm a huge pizzA guy. I love just really good crust and homemade sauce.
I've been on a quest to get aurelios sauce. Any suggestions?
If you like them, you like them. No problem there. But yes, over-rated. To really appreciate Chicago Pizza, you need to dig, check out dives and hole in the walls. The best pizza places get no fame, just loyal customers that ad and PR dollars can't buy. Once you dig deeper, you'll scratch your head to why these bigger names are even considered in the top 10.
