I love Quad City style pizza, having grown up here. There's a restaurant in Chicago that serves it called Roots Pizza. I've never had it but would like to try it to compare it to the real deal here.

Chicago's Best Corner Spots: Roots: http://youtu.be/FKYbvxOFHsU

Found this video that shows it a bit. It's not particularly thin and crispy, but not thick either. Crust is chewy and malty. The sausage is one of the things that's unique. It's a finely ground, fennely sausage. Some people, especially out of towners, don't care for it, but having grown up on it I'm a big fan.

Im not a muff guy either. Well, at least when it comes to the sandwich. But, where did you get one? Central grocery is the king of the muff. I dont like olives so olive salad does nothing for me.

I've got a few.

A place called cimino's in pecatonica, IL. I grew up in that area and it was my favorite growing up. I still crave it when I get back home

There are a few places in Colorado that I enjoy. Marco's, an authentic Italian wood fire oven place in Denver. Proto pizza, another wood oven place in Denver that has a bit more variety than Marco's but not quite as good. Beaujo's, an awesome deep dish place that originated in Idaho Springs, CO. They have great stuff and their thing is to save the crusts after the piece is finished and drizzle honey on it as dessert

I lived in the quad cities for a few years. There's a place called Harris Pizza on E Locust that's really good. Almost forgot about that place

I would, New Orleans has so much good food to be wasting one of your meals on something you dont prefer.

Yeah, Harris is the most popular in town and very good. Fields of Pizza is a newer place and is as good or better, IMO. Then you have places like Franks, Bad Boyz, Clint's, etc all serving similar stuff.
