what's wrong with it?
The pizza overall wasn't good. If I want a thin crust, it better have a good taste to it. Piece doesn't impress me because they have beer brewed on premises and the pizza comes out in a huge square.

I want good pizza. They better be homemade everything. That's what I love bout pequods and Burts. Real recipes. That's why I love aurelios, too. Yes, it's a chain but that sauce and crust is fantastic.

Sounds like you had a bad experience. I don't know how that translates into your continued resentment unless it's informed by your contempt for the crowd...

I love Burt(used to own Pequods), worth the drive and the headache of cash payment:

Check-out those aged pans, probably been using them since the 1970's.:yep:

The origin of pizza is America is debatable.

My favorite is Fasano's Pizza in Bridgeview. Great thin crust pizza.

Joe Italian Villa also in Bridgeview is a good thin crust as well.

Some they can keep are:
Girodano's
Lou Malnati's
Gino Easst/West
Basically I am an anti chain guy for just about everyone.

Anyone ever had Fox's Pizza? Fox's is like an Irish pub/restaurant type of place but they make some tasty thin crust pizza.

I think the original one is on the southside like Evergreen Park.... but they have opened a few locations elsewhere.

I'm into brick oven pizza. There's this place called Brick's in Lombard, which they've now expanded to Wheaton and Naperville that I'm a big fan of.

Yes I have and it is good if you like a cracker type crumble on the bottom. Same with Monical's though I think you have to hit Kankakee for the nearest location. I can eat a whole thin crust by myself. No problem.

I haven't been there, nor have I ever heard of it before. I haven't even been over in that area beyond going by on 355 since Senior Prom lol.

Monicals... do they have locations south like heading all the way to Champaign or EIU? I seem to recall eating at one of those a few times on trips to drop my sister off at EIU.

I recall it being good.

I don't know how old you are, but if you haven't you are missing on some great places over there. Clara's Pasta is one of the best Italian places taking over the old Krispy Kreme. Plus the Cinemark is great place and reasonably clean as Movie Houses go.

27, so 9 years ago was Senior Prom. I know there's some decent places in there, I just tend to stick to the area I'm in when going places. I mean I can find good Italian places, pizza, what not in my area easily. Not to say I won't try it some day, just have to be somewhat over there.

As far as movies go, I usually go to Studio Movie Grill in Wheaton. Comfy seats, food/beer during the movie if I want, otherwise I pay $5.00 to see a new movie release.

Had it, though only via delivery at a friends house numerous times. Its decent pizza. I imagine it might taste better actually going there though.
