You'd definitely want to check into that a little deeper (about the site's Session length setting). My browser doesn't have an auto log off, and I'm not aware that any of them do. Chicitysports.com site is definitely timing me out (expiring the session) and making me log in again (when I hit "Post Quick Reply" and some 10 mins have passed). On the message board that I admin, in Server Configuration/Load Settings there's a Session length setting, which I have my forum set at "Seconds: 99,999" which is two hours. That's the setting you want to adjust.I'm lost here. The site doesn't auto-log off anyone. Just to be clear, there is 0 code on the site that uses auto-logoff.
If you're getting auto-logged off, it's your browser settings.

You're talking about when you log in, but don't use the "remember me" checkbox? The "remember me" session length defaults to the browser's cookie settings. The temporary session doesn't auto log-off, it's a temp session, so it expires after 15 minutes(vBulletin default). But I bumped it to 30 minutes. Auto-logoff and expirations are different, sorry if I was getting too technical, and I should have just knew what you meant, because they do act similarly, although they are coded differently(timer vs permit.)
A World Series title in Chicago.
You know what, my bad. I didn't realize that tapatalk doesn't allow "remember me" settings on all devices either. It's an hour now.
Quickie question, when the board was upgraded I could no longer upload my animated avatars. They only upload as still photos now, do I need to re-size those?.
Size and format are the only reasons the animations break upon upload. If it's a weird format issue, then just upload it somewhere else, then try. Unfortunately, I don't know how vbulletin coded it's image script injection protection(a security exploit using picture uploads), but I can look into it.
What is the maximum size that can be used for an avatar...600X400 or so?.
Avatar? 150x150 in dimension, and 10kb in size.
I played w/it last night, my current avi was uploaded at 580X480. So the system re-sizes upon upload?.
And if so, why is your avi wider than mine?.
