Seeing the person in a quoted response defeats the purpose of the ignore feature.
The whole board has to ignore someone for it to be effective.

It prevents the user from seeing the original posts. If the user is actually that dead-set on ignoring the blocked poster, he'd just scroll past the quoted space like any reasonable human being would. But the internet is not exactly, reasonable, is it?

Well, I wouldn't go that far :lol: The ignore feature should be more of a convenience because you know already that you probably won't derive any value from reading that person's posts, so it just automatically sifts past those for you. But the general idea is correct, who the hell cares what some guy on the internet you've never met thinks of you at the end of the day? I find I have a better experience ignoring 90% of what goes on in the drama wars and then eating
opcorn: when I have time to follow the other 10% of the goofy shit.
