Good. No need for a bonehead player on this team.

Jordan Danks is just fine as our 4th OF'er.

Not as I see it. De Aza is a good hitter. He just is not a CF. Let's just say that he had a bad year just like just about everyone on that team did last year. Danks is not nearly as valuable. In fact, if somehow, someway, they could ever trade Dunn, I'd DH De Aza and bat him second behind Eaton or bat him 9th ahead of Eaton. I think that if they could jettison Dunn and Danks and add a quality closer and 3rd starter, this team could surprise a lot of people. I also would make Nate Jones a starter. His stuff is too good yet he doesn't have the control to be a good reliever.

One of the best things the Sox did in the off season was hiring Steverson from the A's as their hitting instructor. He brings an entirely different outlook to particularly young hitters. I talked to him a couple of times in the A's camp last year while watching a couple of my former players and talked to a couple of my former players as well and they had good things to say about the guy. If Robin gives him his head, he may just be able to have the Sox hitters work into the count I think that it was a good signing.

Davidson struggling mightily. Hanson not good in his first start.

hanson 4 ers. let him get some starts in and work out some kinks. if he can get just a tad bit of velocity back he can be effective and actually good. will he get 4mph? probably not or atleast not soon. dont forget the runs he gives up can be skewwed as he is playing with his pitches

Check this out:

"(Uptown Charlotte, NC) - Tommy Hanson was sharp in his second start of the year, Andy Wilkins provided the offense, and the Charlotte Knights beat the Durham Bulls 3-1 on Friday in front of 10,307 fans at BB&T Ballpark - the team's sixth sellout crowd of the season. The win was Charlotte's third straight as they beat the Bulls in the series three games to one.

Hanson (1-1, 4.00) threw five scoreless, hitless innings on Friday en route to his first win of the season. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native struck-out six batters and walked three. Hanson, who was signed by the Chicago White Sox on April 8, threw 74 pitches, 44 for strikes."

More excited over Hanson or that the minor league team outdraws the big club?
