Lots of ifs everywhere, but lots of potential too. Why don't we just wait and see?
ok, at least you put the kool-aid down unlike Dews who placed words in dabs mouth.I know you and CNM have to hate on the Sox, but you don't think that if Sale continues to develop, Peavy, Danks, and Floyd stay healthy, and Quinata prove to be the real deal; that this isn't a pretty good rotation?
Calling it the best rotation was a stretch, but you cannot ignore the upside. And it could very well be a train wreck with injure risks.
Sox rotation has a lot of upside.
Obviously, it doesn't have the potential of Shields, Davis, Guthrie, Chen, and Santana, but, then again, who does honestly?
I think Floyd is at least a league-average guy who eats innings and can get a few strikeouts. If everything else falls into place, at least your pitching won't suck.
Floyd's FIP/xFIP/SIERA/tERA are all much better than his ERA most years.
Floyd keeps the ball in the yard, pretty impressive in a hitters park in the AL. HR/FB at 8%, IF/FB at 13%.
And averages a WAR of almost 3 the last few years.
ERA+ of 102 the last couple of years.
I mean, he isn't an ace, or a #2 or a #3, but that isn't what he's used for. I think Floyd is very underrated and for a back end of the rotation guy, he's really solid. I never under stand the hate or the "he sucks!!!1" .500 PITCHERS!!!!1 4.50 ERA!!!!1 TRADE HIM!!!!1
I don't think Quintana sticks around. I think his poor final was due to league adjustments, and not just spike in BABIP and fatigue.
I think Santiago has a better chance to successful in the rotation, but I think they'll give the nod to Q to start 2013 because he "earned it" or whatever. Similar to Humber last year.
I like Q he uses the same style of another pitcher who recently left the South Side, breaking everyone's heart in the process </3 mark
I forgot. garza, shark, feldman, wood, baker etc are the prime theo :fap: ing rotation. his bad.

FWIW I think Mark is much better than Quintana.
we should just end this and rank ml starting staffs.

There is a huge gulf between being a good rotation and being the best in baseball. I strongly question a rotation with as many as ifs as the White Sox as being the best in baseball, but whatever turn it into one of the various debates you want to have.
There was virtually nothing to indicate that in the original post and the reaction that I got from you and Dewz was the reason I said what I did initially.A. I was trolling
B. I even said "calling it the best was a stretch", and said it has a lot of "upside".
