Yes, it is. The catching situation is awful here.

And it makes no difference for 2014. Put your reality hat on for a moment.

If he does well , it means nothing to us as we are at best the 2nd best team in the division and realistically the 4th or 5th. If he stinks, nothing changes.

It was said he was hurt most of last year. We have a year to see if that is true.

Relax. :)

Yep. Worst hitting catcher(s) in all of baseball. I just do not believe they are going to go with FLowers as their starting catcher. I'd be someone out of single A before I'd hit Flowers.

Rebuilding or not, I wanna see some decent production again from the catching position.

And that would be worse.

Well, if Flowers doesn't hit & is healthy, it's time for Hahn to explore a trade.

Gary Sanchez of the Yanks is blocked with McCann there. But, i'm sure they'd want a good haul. (just guessing)

Btw, the ball just comes off Abreu's bat.

Thing of beauty.

Watching the game today, I was impressed with the bat of Nieto. I'd think that he'll be the starting catcher by the end of May if he hits like I think he will.

In that game today against the Angels, I saw quite a few legit young players. Garcia and Abreu look like studs for years to come. Viciedo had a good game and almost hit a HR to right in his last AB. The kid 3rd bagger hit a bomb. But the guy that I really am excited about is Adam Eaton. I think that he is the center fielder we haven't seen like EVER. The kid has wheels, he showed me that he can handle lefties and makes contact and can drive the ball. He alone will mean I would guess 4-5 more wins than the guys we had in center last year. I think that this will be an exciting year with a young team.

I think Jordan Danks has made the team as the fifth outfielder and able to be a starter if needed.

FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the Marlins are shopping starting pitcher Jacob Turner.

The Marlins have starting pitching depth and long-term needs at second base and first base.

Get on the phone Hahn.
