Should really have never been signed by us. Wish him to be a success on his future endeavors.

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin
Hahn on Keppinger decision: "We are focusing on the future as opposed to trying to justify a decision from the past."

Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN
Per Rick Hahn, Jeff Keppinger is healthy. Shoulder has responded well. Move was made to give more PT to Gillaspie, Semien, Beckham.

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin
Hahn on the signing: "It didn’t work. That’s on me."

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin
Hahn had a brief conversation with Keppinger this morning. He understood CWS rationale for move and they wished each other well

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin
Hahn said a position change for someone in the plethora of Minor League infield talent is "conceivable" down the line. But ....

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin
The goal is development with these players. So they are not throwing something new at them as they are getting comfortable.

Dan Hayes ‏@DanHayesCSN
Rick Hahn also thanked chairman Jerry Reinsdorf for flexibility to DFA Jeff Keppinger, which could cost Sox whats left on $8.5 mill deal.

Adam Eaton feels good as heads on rehab. Flying from Oak to Durham for 2 games. Bus to Norfolk for 4 inn, rejoins Sox in Houston on Sun.

Mistakes are made. Glad Hahn can own up to them. As for Robin....

He just got released and wasn't bad at all for the Mets. I'd take a flyer on him.

I'd rather have a root-canal without any numbing shots!

Boy oh boy....

We lose Avi (an argument can be made he's the second best all around batter/fielder on the team), Jones gets hurt, we lose Sale for a month, Johnson gets shelled and demoted, Rienzo bad, Noesi picked up as bad and stays bad, Danks one good outing followed by "what the heck was that" outing(s), Carroll showing why he's never made it, Sierra good for Cubs Series only, Cleto awful, Paulino awful, etc, etc...

How are we like 3 games under .500 right now?

Rotoworld on Abreu..

Jose Abreu (ankle) will wear a boot for the next several days.

Abreu was placed on the disabled list Sunday due to posterior tibia tendinitis in his left ankle. He will be re-evaluated on the team's upcoming homestand, which begins Thursday. The hope is that he'll be ready when his 15 days are up, but that's no sure thing right now.

Rotoworld on Sale..

Chris Sale (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday.

Sale dominated in his first minor league rehab start on Friday, striking out 11 batters over four scoreless innings. His elbow feels good, but he's feeling some routine body and leg soreness. He's expected to make one more rehab start before rejoining the White Sox.

Love when soon-to-be free agent relievers who we can dump at the deadline get hurt.

:pity:

Absolutely positively no. Happy to be wrong, but quite honestly he shouldn't be on our roster.
