you guys will never guess who i want the sox to "buy" in a deal for the next few years if some of the salary is taken on. a guy who has been awful the last 2 seasons that imo needs a change. he was once pretty ...awesome. take a guess boys....i know 901 might get it. il give a hint. position player in the NL. 123 go!

First that I heard of this. Nothing out here except Kemp is pissed at the Dodgers. Maybe Flowers?

I would pass out if this organization traded for Kemp. He is owed something like $125M on the rest of his contract. No way they spend 25M per year on an outfielder.

They would have to eat a ton of salary for him.

So I am watching the Sox tonight and contrasted Beckham versus Gillespie. They pretty are much the same size. Neither a power hitter. But the differences between them are amazing. Gillespie sets the bat and has a simple trigger before moving forward. Beckham has a big time hitch and he started it maybe about a month ago. before that, he quited his bat and hit more from a crouch. Now he is more upright and handsy.

I think that Beckham once again has sunken into bad habits. Maybe he is pressing because of Micah Johnson's performance in the minors. Either way, he should be traded.

PS. If you have seen the movie Trouble With the Curve, with Clint Eastwood, they pretty much highlighted what Beckham has been doing. His hands roll and really cannot hit the breaking pitch even when they hang it.

Unfortunately I think its too late on Beckham for a trade unless he's a throw in piece

You're probably right and that is why I wanted them to trade him when he showed good after he came back from injury.
