Michael Jordan is obviously the best player in the history of the Chicago Bulls. I think you'd have a hard time finding someone who would argue against that. With that said, who do you believe is the 2nd best player in franchise history and why? Discuss.

Micheal Jordan is the greatest Bull of all time and always will be....Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time period...Not only that, but the greatst sports icon to ever play a sport.................The 2nd best Bulls player of all time is Scottie Pippen......DERRICK rose has an opportunity to become the 2nd best in he future....That may however be rated later by how many rings Rose achieves...

In all fairness, Rose only has to win 1 to become the second best Bulls ever.

That's true, he could be considered the second best player with only one ring...At least the 2nd best as a player individually.....But defensively and as a team player first, Scottie Pippens act will not be easy to beat....just my opinion...:rimshot:

It's obviously Pippen. Rose is on his way though. It's possible that he becomes the second greatest Bull ever even if he wins no ring.

I'm going to go with Pippen. Rose has a shot at the rate he is going though.

My criteria for accomplishments may be a little different from others. One championship from rose is not gonna trump pippens six. And for those that want to say pippen didn't win as the "man", my reply will be could the bulls win without pippen? No replacements etc. Just take pippen off the team.

That's were the difference lies. Jud buchler has 3 championships. But I'm sure the bulls could've won without him. Pippen? Hell no.

I'm pretty confident that D Rose will bring this team a few Championships before his career is done, and with how he played last year he will most likely be the second greatest ever. Right now it has to be Scottie Pippen. I think you could easily argue that Pippen is also one of the greatest NBA players in history as well. I know he was in the top 50 list but I think he hovers in the top 10. Guys I think people may put above him, in no particular order. Shaq, Bill Russell, Kareem, Dr. J, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Dominique Wilkins. After that I think that Scottie is right up there with anybody.

Rose´s number has to be retired by the Bulls first, before arguing about that question.

We can only guess what he will win.

As a sidenote: We know that MJ is #1 and Pippen is #2. But who do you put on #3? Sloan or Love?

That's funny. I agree that Pippen is the 2nd best in Bulls history. I don't think he's top 10 all-time, but I would agree that he still is one of the top 50 of all-time in NBA history.

You know what...I would have to Agree!

If Rose gets a Ring...He will Indeed be considered the bulls 2nd greatest Player in history.

Right now, I'd still have to say Pippen.

I don't know about all that.
Scotties defense set the tone for all the Bulls championships.
If Derrick Rose can become an ultimate defender like Pip, and fill his fingers with rings, than maybe, and I mean maybe I would consider Rose being 2nd alltime.

Scottie was just an amazing athlete and I think he is very underrated because he had to play behind Michael. To be that good on offense and be a stand out defender makes him one of the best in my book.
