I dont know how many people experienced the old barn, but ****....that was the place to be. Sure, it was old as hell, and the neighborhood was 30X worse than it is now...but that was the loudest building I have ever been in. The UC is like a library compared to it.

you mean lack of homerism?

It's a Chicago Blackhawks forum and you constantly call people homers.

A forum dedicated to one specific sports team.

And you're calling people that post on it out for being fans of that team.

Is this some elaborate trolling by you or are you really that much of a dolt? I really can't tell.

you sound like you are ready to cry.

I suggest ignoring my posts if you dont like what I have to say.

I could care less if it is a hawks forum with hawks fans, I dont look at everything the hawks do as the best, these are my opinions.

Im not stating everyone is a homer because they post about their team, im specifically talking about everything being "perfect" and everything the hawks do is the right thing according to some users.

Coming from a big buff fan, are you really that much of an idiot? i cant tell.

You deserve at least +10 for that - however I could only give you a +1 (systems limitations :p ).

Lets talk more about Viktor Softberg everybody.

He'll be better than Sid if he gets a chance.

That's funny... I remember arguing about this play here.

I thought it was a HORRIBLE play by Stalberg and some people here were defending it.

Watching it again now with a bunch of time passed- it's still a HORRIBLE play by Stalberg. Hell, it might even look worse.

Dunno- that 29 second mark can also look like lack of line familiarity with linemates (in theory you don't do the throw anyone on any given line stunt except in rec hockey- and it is something that you will see Quenneville do all of the time -it works sometimes, others - not so much) - aside from the part where you have to look where you pass, he was clearly expecting Kane to go to his (Kane's) left instead of right... but, yeah, ok I see the point - a pretty ugly play.

However I know there's a Hawks' game highlight out there where Datysuk strips Kane -at the blue line (doing some weird young guy - I can stickhandle away from anyone routine)... goes in and scores - so bad plays aren't exactly unknown in hockey, and fairly equal opportunity.

observing the fact that I am not homering it up in here thinking every move is perfect. he put in his 2 cents stating "dolt" so if he wants to call names, im down to.

I understand the question and am not dodging it intentionally, but I still think this team goes as Keith goes. Sure, he counts as a big name and therefore technically shouldn't count as defined for this thread, but as our kids reach their potential, he's the man holding the keys.

I can see that; makes perfect sense -I was taking it for granted that he would be able to, but -as a Bears fan from the 1980's - they may have won one Super Bowl in dominent fashion -but that counts for nothing the next year )or after that) - still have to play the games, and nothing is a given.

That's a lot of weight on his shoulders.

Don't ever tell him that in person.

Good thing is he should have a much better year this year.

He logs tons of minutes and had a long season last year and had the pressure of doing well because he won the Norris trophy. Less pressure and more rest this year will help him produce more this season.
