I’ll admit at the time I would not have hated McDaniels getting hired. Thought he had a good chance for success but that appears to be a dead wrong take, I’ll admit it.
I was not even a small fan of hiring Eberflus as he is a defensive cover 2 coach. It wreaked of ownership meddling to me. I’m still not a big fan but what I didn’t know was how organized he is, I really like that part of him. That said I’d rather keep Getsy over him still, which is why the hiring was flawed.

I brought his name up really early on in the process because of the Kyle Shanahan connection and quirky personality, but he wasn't super high on my list because he didn't call plays. I was a little shocked he got a HC as quickly as he did. Thought it might take another coaching cycle or two before he established himself, but credit to Miami for scouting him out as their guy right away.

naw, still don't see it less the other team has a qb that can carry the ball 15++ times a game of which there are few and far between.
