Thing is they’re really not in position to upgrade. Carr had one of the best years of his career. Not sure why they would rather have Stafford, Jimmy or Mariota. I think if they wanted a diff QB they would have explored in 2020

we signed Glennon for 16 million

Teddy got 21 million

Taysom got 10 million to be a backup

Mariota signed to be a backup with Raiders for 8 million

When you are chasing free agents qbs with the intention that they start you are gonna have to pay them starter money especially when your regime is in a make or break year.
