If they somehow DO trade up in the draft also(very probable) I see them taking trey lance. He seems like a real ryan pace pick.
I think Pace may be a little gun shy about drafting a QB with very few starts in college and drafting for upside. I know he won't say that, but it has to be in the back of his mind.

I am not 100% sure Trey Lance sucks.

Is it official he is available, or is this all just speculation?

I don't think Gruden and him have a good relationship but its hard to let him go unless Mariota has wowed Gruden.

We can bring in Mariotta, Trubisky, RG3, and Winston and have a public open competition like we did with the kickers. Have receivers run routes and see if any of these busts can connect with them. Draw it out in the media through camp only to continue to be disappointed in the season. It's the Bears way, we drafted Sam Bowie when we had the chance to get Michael Jordan. That's how this team will be remembered. It sucks being a Bears fan, but I'll continue complaining until my last breath. Bears down.

1) They might see him as an upgrade over Mitch
2) He would not take any draft capital to acquire
3) They could get him on a one year "prove it" deal for cheap
He can’t run Nagy’s scheme.

No matter who the Bears QB is next season, we can bet on 2 things.

1...There will be a certain segment of CCS and Bear fans in general that won't like him.

2...He will suffer playing with Nagy's insane play calling, leading back to #1

Good thing I said "most money" meatball. Go dislike more of my posts cream puff.
Yeah and we’re in great position to offer the “most” money aren’t we? We would get outbid for any top FA and the ones we do go after will likely have options with similar money - in which case FA’s are saying “fuck Chicago” just like I’m saying fuck you and your dog buddy! ?

this is the take on Mac Jones.....

“Jones' athleticism is something that can hurt him at the next level. While he's good in the pocket, when it breaks down he really struggles to keep plays alive and can't extend the pocket or beat you with his feet. The mechanics are there but the athleticism is going to be a problem at the next level and could hurt his stock dropping him maybe to a late first-round pick or second-round pick.”

Why would you trade up and give away our draft currency for a player that isn’t athletic?

Him and cutler have similar career trajectories of being losers. Cutler likely could have put up similar numbers and lost just as well in another system.

McMahon at least had some success (winning) in the nfl.
But everyone knows that winning isn’t a quarterback stat......lol

Sam Darnold......still on his rookie deal, only 24 and still has the potential that made him a high draft pick.

are his pros:
On a rookie contract
24
Has potential.

Here are his cons:
Has never played a full season
Has never had a winning season
Isn’t accurate 59.8%
1 interception a game on average
Isn’t very mobile ( not on par with Jackson, Watson, )

Yeah. 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio but he's "not good"

170 tds to 71 ints....not quite 3 to 1
10 pick sixes
1 winning season under his belt. 47-63 is his record
No playoff experience
His is relatively accurate.
Doesn’t seem to be very mobile.
I’d say his play is overall good, not great.

His last 2 seasons with above 100 rating shows he's gotten better than how he started (which still at 90+ rating isn't bad)

so the raiders will just roll with Trubisky 2.0 and ship Carr out on a team friendly deal?

I dont think they move him. Just kinda pointing out the reasons they shouldn't and probably won't move him since Carr is always said to be available or Gruden is always looking to upgrade
