very true, and my main point was just that it's more odd than anything and seems just really unlucky Ohio St hasn't had a really good NFL QB yet.

Haskins was really good for college. So was JT Barrett. so was Troy Smith. but just none of them fit as an NFL level QB. they've never gotten a top 5 QB in country out of high school though i don't think. so i guess makes more sense. top 5 QBs go to SEC schools and West coast and Texas.

BTW, no offense intended calling the thread stupid. I've always thought you a quality poster and this does not change that. I think maybe I read too much into it when I flew off the handle so for that I apologize.

most of the QBs you posted were late round prospects. they werent 1st rounders.

how many 4th and 5th round prospects at QB do you honestly expect to amount to anything?

lol ok you missed my point buddy. was just saying it's weird Ohio St hasn't had a good NFL QB. i'm aware they weren't anywhere close to Fields in terms of ranking heading into draft. maybe read rest of what i said.

The question kind of answers itself if you see it that way.

The reason no QBs have succeeded from OSU is because they weren't highly rated, good QB prospects

I'm sure Fields is projected higher than any OSU QB before him

ok didn't mean to start a college program war lol, but i dont think anyone can bash another program and defend Nebraska/Michigan when we're talking 20+ years ago now. Ole Miss probly has as many bowl wins/appearances as both of them combined in past 20 yrs lol i have no clue but wouldn't doubt it

I didn’t bash a program, I merely stated a fact. The SEC owns Ohio state in bowl games. OSU is 2-11 in bowl games against the sec.

Wisconsin QBs sucked too. Then Russell Wilson came along and I think he is doing just fine.
and again....another transfer. just kinda funny how terrible Big Ten quarterbacks have translated to NFL outside a few. it's more so about most the best QBs go elsewhere. but i think it's funny big ten people getting butt hurt about offense jokes when it's usually just cause they have way worse QBs.

I mean if Tom Brady is the GOAT, then why aren't all Mich QB's studs?
Same as Tennessee, Heath Shuler is the 2nd best UT QB in the NFL past 40 years. Tyler Bray is probably top 5... absolutely terrible besides Manning

oh, this thread isn’t about the success, or lack there of for OSU qb’s? I’d say their lack of success against the elite talent of the sec is very relevant to the thread. Jesus, you can’t just say whooops my bad I missed your first post and move on. Instead, you go for the trumpian double down on being wrong. Very special

maybe better question is why does Ohio St not get better QBs in the past? looking back.....

Haskins
Cardale Jones
JT Barrett
Terrelle Pryor

i understand why none of them worked out. it's more confusing why Ohio St hasn't gotten better QBs in the past. i guess they don't want to go play at a school more known for running backs and defense? guess i cant blame them wanting to go somewhere warmer too. just kinda odd.

but i laugh when people mention Ohio St never produces good NFL QBs. uh yeah cause they've never had Justin Fields lol. and he came from Georgia! funny only way they got an elite guy like him was cause of transfer.
Same reason Alabama QBs don’t. They’ve got an easy job in college. They have all stars surrounding them and great coaching. Big fish small pond shit.

all that goes away in the NFL

I actually equal it with most 80s and 90s huskers running backs. The line play at college level and talent around you. It hasn't been prefect for osu quarterbacks but when your line helps you alot at college level and you transition into the NFL where things are not quite as easy and quicker. It becomes much more difficult. Hopefully Justin has the drive to separate himself from the past play of other osu qbs.

lmao you are a character.

success of OSU QBs in the NFL......to you equates to OSU vs SEC overall record in bowl games dating back to the 1970's.

sorry but no i don't say "whoops my bad" when i'm not the one in the wrong. i'm not a weakling.
