Will the real Patrick Kane please stand up?

Kane was still sitting behind the play when Erat gave up the puck. I don't need to watch it, I was there.

Again, missing my point and thus not responding to it, Kane's COACH had him sitting back on the play. Players don't just do that on their own they are TOLD to do so. Eddie, should most definitely know this and as pointed out to you twice, was explaining the situation on the ice(Ironic I know, as most of the time he's story telling during critical times of the game)!

He was NOT slamming Kane in any way shape or form for being where he was on the ice.

Carry on.

To PuckJim - I replayed the DVR of the game. Sorry, but Kane is being called out. The announcers wouldn't have said he left his team defending a 5-on-3 if this was a compliment. They would have said Kane is staying back for a pass out to the point. Also the tone of the announcers was of disappointment. Listen to it again.

To RK - game #5 against Nashville was NOT the same situation. Kane did NOT have a breakaway by lurking at center ice to score the tying goal. Go back and watch it. The Hawks were in the offensive zone for quite a few passes. Kane tied the game by going to the net. Totally different situation than hanging back at center ice while your team is in the defensive zone trying to get it out on a 5-on-3 cause Kane won't go back to help them out.

To Pez - I agree that it's fine to keep someone at center ice at times when you're down a goal, but in this case the Hawks were also on a penalty kill and they were struggling to cycle the puck out of their own zone. Kane needs to come back and help in that situation. As you saw, precious time ticked off the clock cause it was 5-on-3 without him back there to help out.

First of all Kane does not kill penalties so if Edzo was criticizing Kane for lurking on that play, then Edzo was pandering to the stupid. The only reason Kane would be on the PK in that situation is to lurk and try to score a goal.

Use some common sense and realize Edzo missed on that call.

Yeah, I'm done with it.

My wife is just starting to learn the game, and I pointed out all this as it was happening, just before Edzo basically repeated exactly what I said. Foley, in a moment of lucidity, even mentioned the Nashville playoff game while this was going on.

I can't spoon-feed basic hockey strategy to more than one person at a time.

Which is actually quite amazing since the broadcast is mainly made up of stupid story telling. Calling the actual game is a rare sequence with those bozo's.

Tree-Turty-Tree left in da turd period. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
