Eddie O pointed out another Kane gaffe last night. While he didn't use Millbury's term of 'lollygagging it' he did say Kane was strolling around center ice giving Nashville a 5-on-3 when they were already on the powerplay. It was a quick moment but you could tell Eddie thought Kane was not coming back to help his team in the defensive zone.

Eddie O is a gaffe...............................why you would think anything he has to say has any merit is mind boggling to me.

Someone might want to tell Eddie the dumb ass and fluff that when a player is doing that he's been told too by his coach. Funny Eddie wouldn't know that.

I'm guessing Fluff.

What happened in game 5 against Nashville was nothing short of amazing. Last evening was routine-- and Nashville isn't going to make the same mistake twice. I've seen many players play back on an empty net to try to get a cherry-pick situation. It's not that uncommon. Just because it was 88 that was back on the play didn't mean that he didn't want to backcheck in that scenario. Nashville controlled the puck quite well on the PP last evening, their defense was even better.

Teams will take advantage when 19 and 10 are on the mend. Those are two key teammates, and the Blackhawks are asking some young players to really step it up. Shaw was close to tying it last night, and he couldn't bury the pass from Kane. I'm sure some one can spin this in saying Kane should have threaded an easier pass to handle-- or Shaw is still green. Fact is the puck didn't go in.

Try again, Pounder.

I'm just pointing out what the announcer said. I like Eddie O - sorry if that's not the popular sentiment around here. He called Kane out for not getting back to help his team. There's a perception that 88 is lacking effort out there - he's been called out by Millbury and now Eddie O in 2 straight games.

Wow, Milbury and Eddie O... 2 people to really take stock in.

Oh, Detroit just got their asses handed to them 7-2 tonight by the Habs. Good teams will fall once in a while.

No he did not! He pointed out that PK was out at center ice, hoping to pick up a clearing pass. He said that it was like the Preds had a five on three.

He was NOT admonishing Kane for cherry picking. He was merely pointing out what was going on in the play.

When you are shorthanded at the end of a game and down a goal, you always have a player floating at center, especially a dynamic skater like Patrick Kane. The idea is to create a scoring chance, not kill a penalty.

No one called him out.

You know, listening is a skill.

Like I am gonna listen to a guy that couldn't do shit with a team that Had crosby, and a guy that traded for Karpovtsev with a 4th round pick, which turned out to be Hammer.

You don't know much about hockey, do you? When there's a minute left in the game, and you're down a goal, killing off the penalty does you no good. You have to score. Thus, Kane was hanging out high hoping the puck would pop out there. Edzo, as dumb as he can be, was not calling Kane out. He was just pointing out that Kane was floating out looking for a chance. Which is EXACTLY what he should be doing in that situation. For ****'s sake, I'm the one that started this thread, but there was nothing wrong with what Kane did in that situation.

I already pointed it out but it was exactly what he was "TOLD" do be doing in that situation.

Not sure we ever win the Cup if he didn't do it during game #5. I can see Pounder is going to do one of two things. Be toyed with for the tool he appears to be, and or banned before it goes two long.

My bet is on both.

Which is actually quite amazing since the broadcast is mainly made up of stupid story telling. Calling the actual game is a rare sequence with those bozo's.
