You keep calling people "kid" like their opinion doesnt matter because they are younger than you. Arent you like 17? Dews is a grown man.

I call people kid when they act like 12 year olds. Want to know why I'm residing to name calling towards him? Because apparently with him, the only way you can get your point across is to name call (and it's annoying as hell having someone call you a Special person for not agreeing with him when he doesn't even back up his claim AT ALL).

and I STILL WOULD RATHER HAVE HIS BAT OVER KOTSAYS!

For the 6th time or so,

WHY

That's all I want to fucking know! **********, dude. At least give your posts a little bit of substance and back up your posts.

:lmao:

Ohhh, I get it. Are you like 60 or something? Do you still have a hard-on for Jones from the earlier part of this decade?

Edit: Apparently you're 31, so that's still old enough to have a hard-on for him starting at about a decade ago or so.

Really all we needed to see was Jones' hot streak at the start of the season. Since both Kotsay and Jones suck, we are hoping that whichever one plays over the course of the next 70 games has a few hot streaks. And Jones' streaks are much more potent than Kotsay's.

that pretty much sums it up in a nutshell.

And if Jones doesn't go on a hot streak in the 2nd half, just like what has happened in each of the past few years with him?

2009's hottest streak: July 12th through July 29th where he went 7 for 29 with 3 HR (.241/.421/.655 in 9 games)

2008: July 6th through the 9th, went 4 for 10.

And so on. Expecting a hot streak from him in the 2nd half is like expecting to get struck by lightning twice. He's basically non-existent in the 2nd half at the plate. There is a reason why his OPS in the 2nd half is quite lower than the first half since 2007.

In those seasons, I believe that he played every day. I dont think he will be worn out in the second half this year. If we had a better option, yeah i would bench Jones. But on a dice roll, ill go with high risk/ high reward rather than guaranteed below-averageness from Kotsay.

So you would bench a semi-hot hitter for a shit-cold hitter just for the small chance that Jones might bounce back? Looking at how close this division race is going to be, that could potentially have us sitting at home during the playoffs, you know, playing a shit-cold hitter for a long period of playing time hoping he regains some type of hot streak and then he doesn't. The difference between a near .800 OPS hitter hitting for us over a .650 OPS for 2.5 months or so could be crucial to us keeping our lead instead of letting is slip by playing the .650 OPS hitter.

the best addition might be a subtraction by letting Lineshit, Junks & Jones go for b type prospects
