I wouldn't imagine Gar would make a move like that without first discussing it and getting the go ahead from Paxson.

The elephant in the room is not Gar or Pax, it is REINY who has seen hate/hate relationships between his head coaches and GMs for his entire ownership career. What does Reiny think of Thibs. That is all that fucking matters. Thibs doesn't go if Reiny doesn't want him out, nothing moves in that organization personnelwise.

Ummmm they lost Game 1 in Miami to us in 2013 and I think they lost to the Spurs in the Finals too.

Unless you mean in Cleveland.

Guess you are right about 2013 so it must be Cleveland then. However, game 1 against the Spurs was in San Antonio.

Im tired of these articles. Most of it is recycled news that they try to stretch even farther. The bug thing and the assistant coach is very weird, and I cant see that happening outside of Hollywood.

I'm watching the Bulls take it in the rear on national TV tonight and they were out strategized bigtime. I like Thibs, I'm sure most of you love him but is he our Doug Collins? I just don't get why he groomed Mirotic and Snell all season and then in the finals is burning out his starters and not playing these guys??

If this is Thibs' last season with the Bulls, I'll thank him for making us a top team in the east but I won't miss him.

I won't miss his archaic rotations and him running our players into the ground. We have the deepest team in the league and Butler still plays 40 minutes a game. Joakim is still playing too many minutes. And Mirotic is severely underutilized.

I'm looking forward to a coach that won't grind our team into the ground during the course of the season to the point we're running on fumes in the playoffs.

I think it's his last season here. Unless they can win the title.

Management and Thibs just don't get a long. It's a common theme with the FO and coaches for the Bulls. And the rumblings I've been hearing just confirm that this relationship is all but over.

The assistant may have not wanted to say a word, but I don't believe the "office is bugged" part of that story.

We know there's a feud. A guy with more knowledge than anyone on the situation, KC Johnson, has said the feud is on both sides.

I don't think he actually meant the "office is bugged". More like, Gotta be hush hush around here.

the front office gets too much flack for having issues regarding thibs and his coaching

its a little known fact that Thibodeau was aware that Noah had been dealing with a knee injury and instead of decreasing his minutes he actually upped them...you could also look at the insanity of they way he treated Butler in 13

Nets Game 6 - 48 minutes
Nets Game 7 - 48 minutes
Heat Game 1 - 48 minutes
Heat Game 2 - 31 minutes (blowout)
Heat Game 3 - 48 minutes
Heat Game 4 - 46 minutes
Heat Game 5 - 48 minutes

playoffs or not that is absurd and lets not forget the time he played Jimmy 48 minutes IN A PRESEASON GAME

with a ton more evidence that supports thibs is insane with his minute/player management...its no surprise the front office has an issue with him...theres also allot of other stuff you could knock thibs on aswell

quite frankly hes the most overrated coach in the league...great defensive mind but hes not an elite/unreplaceable coach like everybody thinks and has benefited from having a roster of top flight defenders to execute his system

i suspect where ever he goes next after awhile fans of that team will want him out of there to...thibs is too stubborn to change his ways and there is changes he needs to make to take the next step

this Cleveland series is the final test for him to show and prove...Game 3 tonight should be interesting

Bernstein was just talking about this a few days ago. The average life span of an NBA coach is something like 2.5 years, and if you take Pop out of the equation, it drops down to 1.5. This is Thibs' 5th year. I think the common theme here is based solely on the relationship this current coach and FO have.

I think the thing with Thibs is the relationship with the front office and then post season results.

I don't think you should keep any coach around that can't advance his team in the playoffs.

I can see how the bar is high with Thibs given his first year he went to the ECF. Injuries ever since then, this is their next best chance to go to the ECF this season. I'm sure the FO wants more though.
