For some reason, I'm listening to Carmen and Jurko on ESPN1000. :puke: They keep saying how the Bulls coveted Thibs since the early 2000's but that it is a sure thing that he is gone.

Seeing how the series vs the Cavs is going, what is the new take on him staying or being fired. I still dont like the idea of him leaving, and honestly cant see them doing it, unless they lose the next two games.

Everyone kept saying it depended on how the bulls did against the Cavs. Does the win just matter, or does an ugly win still justify his firing?

Imo if it's dependent on the Cavs series, it'd be that he couldn't take the team past an injury wrecked Cavs team while having a nearly fully healthy roster at his disposal. It makes sense to me. No JR for two games. Love out. Kyrie has been hobbled since game 2 apparently. Meanwhile we only have Pau missing one game and Derrick Rose has been playing as well as we've seen him play all year. The stars seemingly aligned for the Bulls to finally beat a Lebron led team, but if they drop the next two games, it'll be very hard to make a good case for Thibs.

Winning is the only thing that matters. If they beat the Cavs, it helps a lot. Of course if they shit the bed in the ECF, I think that could also spell the end of Thibs.

A lot will be taken into the fact the Cavs are very injured right now. If the Bulls still can't beat them, then yeah Thibs has shown he sucks at being a playoff coach and is likely out the door.

There is also the chance that everyone is wrong and the Bulls wont' eat 2 years on his contract and he's back next season regardless.

Imo this is the most likely scenario

i dont expect the bulls to win this series and thibs will be sent packaging, they may look to trade him but in the end he will be gone...the question I have for bulls management is what do they do with Noah who has 1yr left...He is an absolute waste on the offensive end and his point forward crap is really getting old. I know he is the heart and soul of this bulls team but with what he's getting paid the bulls are not going to win a ring anytime soon with the way the roster has been constructed...

Noah, Gibson, Hinrich, total 25 mill against the cap for next season...time to make some tough decisions forman, paxson...
