Nope, I'm proud to say I'm an American and do not follow or enjoy kickball. Although I'm also un-American enough to not follow or enjoy rednecks turning left (NASCAR). I believe I've struck a balance.

I have watched some. I played soccer growing up, and I could get in to it more if the dramatic flopping and other antics weren't so prevalent.

I don't really like watching soccer, but there's just something about World Cup.
It's more about country vs country than team vs team.

Yeah WC is really the only time I watch on TV. I have been to Portland Timbers games and it's pretty fun.

Been less invested this year...not just because no USA but the fit hit the shan in June.

That being said I like Soccer. I find it infinitely more interesting to watch a bunch of guys running around for 90 minutes straight than watching a bunch of guys stand around a field doing absolutely nothing for the better part of 3 hours. Might make me unamerican but I just say do svidaniya to that.

By default I'm rooting for Mexico because that's where my girlfriend and her family are from.

That's the stuff that makes WC and the Olympics fun.
Rooting for a country. It's kind of like a peaceful war almost.

I've enjoyed it way more than I thought. I wasn't into soccer at all, but her family are huge soccer fans so I decided to start watching during this World Cup. I still can't stand the constant flopping around but it is exciting to watch

According to google translate that means:

"I just say do fluid to that." In Azerbaijani.

or

"I just say do meetings to that." In Russian.

Must be some kind of super secret kickball speak.

That was a good game by South Korea. I didn't think they had a chance, but they did it. Mexico choked hard.

For obvious reasons I am rooting for Mexico. I think the poor sons of bitches have never made it past 6th place in a World Cup. Pretty pathetic when soccer is the only god damned sport they really play professionally.

I do thank Korea for their 2-0 contribution that allowed us to pass. Sucks dick that we could have potentially been knocked out by only losing one game when you've got teams that qualified with a fucking 1-1-1 record.
