So the Cubs vs. the AL All-Stars? I'd be fine if they alternated each year, but it really should be decided by record. 162 game season ends up meaning less than 1 exhibition game where guys are mostly dicking around.
Meh. MLB found a way to make the all star game relevant. I doubt anyone here would be complaining if the NL had been dominating the way the AL has. I also doubt the Cubs would be crushing Kluber tonight if this game was at Wrigley.

Coghlan "that was not a strike"

he's right.

Dude's early K zone has forced the Cubs to swing the bat at pitches they probably wouldn't swing at. Or maybe they would, they swing at some real garbage some times.

This Kluber performance reminds me of Kershaw in game 2 of the NLCS.

How'd that series end?

I'm not proud about it, but when I traveled to Cleveland a lot in the late '90's, I banged a lot of Cleveland women. God they were disgusting. Mostly 2's and 3's at best. It make me quit drinking.

That's a fucking dumbass way to do it, pay attention.

Reminds me of the first game against Kershaw. Dude was hitting spots like crazy, and the strike zone was impossibly huge.
As long as the series results are the same, I'm ok with that.

Do more people watch the All-Star game now? Nope. Ratings are steady declining. So how did it make it relevant? The point was to make it so more people would watch. My thoughts have nothing to do with what is happening in this game, although Kluber might not be as dominant since he wouldn't be getting the home call, which has actually been proven happens. Finally, my thoughts on the home-field decided All-Star game has not wavered since the rule was first implemented. I hated it when it was announced, I still hate it now.

Nothing has changed with the mlb all star game.....except for some reason the winning teams league gets home field advantage which is usually decided by the backups not the starters......it was fine as is until there was one tie and some dbag owner of the brewers/commissioner decided we needed a permanent fix.

As for this game....its over. Kluber is the right handed version of rich hill....75 sliders that we can't hit with an expanded strike zone. Game is over.

The decision to start Coughlin was surprising and shocking and sure looks like an awful move. I wouldn't be shocked if he never stared again and got maybe 1 or 2 more ab's this series. Why Maddon thought he was a goot fit baffles me, not like Kluber dominates right handed hitters and gets pounded be left handed hitters (and if he did, heyward is left handed also)

I knew Cubs fans would be in here tonight bitching about the way home field is decided
And I know, with absolute 100% certainty, that not one of you would be complaining about it if the NL won this year. And that is my final comment on it.
