I love Baseball. I watch two games a season. The first game and the last game. The rest are boring. Hate the all star game too

Do more people watch the All-Star game now? Nope. Ratings are steady declining. So how did it make it relevant? The point was to make it so more people would watch. My thoughts have nothing to do with what is happening in this game, although Kluber might not be as dominant since he wouldn't be getting the home call, which has actually been proven happens. Finally, my thoughts on the home-field decided All-Star game has not wavered since the rule was first implemented. I hated it when it was announced, I still hate it now.
Yeah I hate that too. Cubs screwed out of home field because some MLB marketing exec had a genius idea to make the shitty All Star game somehow relevant.

I knew Cubs fans would be in here tonight bitching about the way home field is decided
And I know, with absolute 100% certainty, that not one of you would be complaining about it if the NL won this year. And that is my final comment on it.

Of course we wouldn't, because the team with the best record would have home field advantage...as it should be. Man, some people.

The strike zone has normalized for the most part, but with the way it was in the first three innings the Cubs are basically playing with 18 outs tonight instead of 27. The shame of it is we have the technology to implement an objective strike zone.

I don't mind the wide strike zone, if it's called the same for both teams.... It's definitely not.

I have never subscribed to the theory that it is OK for an ump to have an invisible line to determine the edge of the strike zone as long as it is consistent.

A batter comes up the first time and takes trike three having no idea where the ump's personal strike zone ends, and he's supposed to be OK with that?

Like Javy in NLCS. 2 on, 2 out, 2-2 pitch and he gets called out on a ball that never got close to the plate. And that's OK?

Would we be OK with a ball missing the chalk called fair?

I am not talking about tonights game. I mean in general. Why is an invisible edge to the zone OK? Ump ego!

The Cubs are built as well for AL style as they are NL style. Shouldn't matter.

Why would we? The Cubs had the best record in the league, they should have home field. I've been bitching about this for years. It's only worse this year because the Cubs finally make the World Series, they get robbed of something they rightfully earned.

Question.. before the All-Star Game decided home field advantage, was HFA decided by record or did it rotate every year?

The playoffs have really emphasized how incredibly bad the umps are.

You are wrong, has nothing to do with the Cubs, it's a bad idea who ever is in the WS and doesn't work as has been explained to you. Waddle and Sylvie hate the rule and have asked multiple players and management people in MLB their thoughts and NO ONE agrees with it. They have even interviewed Rob Manfred and slipped him the question and by his response the rule will be going away at some point, but he has to do so without making Selig look like too much of a Douchebag.
