Historic defense......failing
Dominant starting pitching......been okay
Historic run difference.....cant hit, take pitches, walk or play situational offense

I'd like to say their pitching dominated us...but i saw pitching dominate us last year with the mets....this feels like a bit of a big headed gag job.

The optimist in me says I've seen the biggest disappointments ever by watching the cubs blow two series with 3 game leads, maybe were due for a 3 game comeback!

First World Series in the historic Wrigley Field in 71 years, and it will be remembered for getting swept to lose the series and Bill Murray making an idiot of himself.

Well played Cubs.

They might as well have left Lackey in. He was actually settled.

Has Maddon made any good decisions this postseason? His play calling has been atrocious. Why not play some small ball? We aren't driving the ball well at all, letting us go up there and swing at breaking balls till we come out of our shoes isn't going to do anything but embarrass us more.

For me it's simple. I can't name an instance in which Maddon has made a great memorable decision. I can name a number in which he's made bad decisions. Particularly in the lack of small ball

That said, players gotta play. Outside of Schwarber, the entire team has sucked.

I blame Murray for all of this if you want to know the truth.

Maddon acts like his middle relief is as good as the tribe for some reason.

Indians, as much as I hate to say, have been the much better team. Props to them.... They are kicking the Cubbies ass this series so far.... Cubbies will have to climb a serious hill to get this done. Gonna have to win 3 in a row now....

I can think of one, and that was Montero's home run, but that was not something that even Maddon wanted to do that was out of necessity. He's been a horrible manager the last two series and most of the NLDS.

There have been maybe 2-3 times in my 36 years when sports has shattered my heart in a thousand pieces.

This is one of them. I'm destroyed.

It's been a very fun year and winning the pennant is a big deal. I sincerely look forward to next year. Also my hat is off to Cleveland. They played well, and I believe, also out managed the Cubs.

I've disagree with you in a number of things. Your assessment of Murray is bang on. I know loving Bill Murray is a cool Chive bro hipster Maddon thing to do

He was an annoying embarrassing fucking Special person last night

Made me long for Jim Belushi on the Bears sideline.
