They won't give that to me yet because i have to function while working all day. But percocet is the next step.[/quote]

I know, doctors suck. They spoil you rotten with morphine in the hospital then totally cut you off when you leave.

That's some cruel shit.

Percs work well too though.

I think i'm going to ask for percs when I'm home and don't need to function and Norco for the rest of the time. better than drinking till I can't feel it.

I too enjoyed the morphine when I was in the hospital. I was in a lot of pain and very crabby. I told the nurses, if they weren't there to give me morphine, then to get the hell out and leave me alone. I had Vicodin when I left the hospital and couldn't figure out what all the excitement was about. They really didn't work for me and I didn't even finish taking them. I got more relief from Ibuprofen.

Good lord but y'all are making a strong case for a local "IHN" chapter of Narcotics Anonymous to be formed.

Thats because you didnt take enough of them at once. When I got my wisdom teeth taken out I remember my mom monitored my intake and would only give me a half a pill at a time, and I thought the same thing. A few years ago I was over my grandparents house and had a headache, my grandpa didnt have any asprin/ibuprofin, but had a medicine cabinet FULL of pain pills, I popped 3 vicodin and someone could have sawed my legs off and I wouldnt have cared, it felt like i was getting a full body massage by a plether of nude nymphs and I couldnt feel my face.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I did not and do not abuse drugs. I don't take anything I don't have to. I only take 1 Ibuprofen at a time.and rarely take those.

The 1st step in any recovery process is to accept you have a problem and stop all the denial.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Hun. The answer is no I do not, but I have to admit there are times when I do wish I could just make everything go away and I didn't have to feel anything. I'm probably afraid I would like it and become an addict.

This kind of thinking pisses me off. I saw it on facebook shortly after the earthquake in Haiti and I've seen i pop up recently again.

Homeless go without eating. Elderly go without needed medicines. Mentally ill go without treatment. Troops go without the proper equipment. Veterans go without benefits that were promised to them!!! Yet we donate millions of dollars to other countries before helping our own first!!! 1% will ...repost and the 99% of people... on Facebook won't have the spine or guts to re-post this. I KNOW I'm the 1%, what about u?·

It's this line that pisses me off more than any other line. If I'm going to re-post something on facebook, it's not going to be some pseudo-political bilge, it's going to be something profound, like:

There once was a vampire named Mabel

Whose periods were really quite stable

And every full moon

She's get out a spoon

And drink herself under the table

Anyhow, when it comes to drugs...never had nor can I have Morphine. I'm allergic to just about everything poppy-based and the seeds make me go anaphylactic.

Codeine, though, and Tylenol 3 are fine. go fig.
