I think people with the problems including the poster above Cago should probably be posting in the football related threads that are happening right now. You are missing out on posting worthwhile constructive comments on threads that hold more meaning than the usual gif strewn, cat picture, biff bashing good gaming threads of Gravity and basement posting know it alls that ruin so many of the good quality football talk that should be happening right now - a week before the season actually kicks off.

Unfortunately, I think you are right.

Some posters have certain "enemies" and attack every one of their posts, until it becomes simply a nonstop back and forth fight.

As for the gifs, I don't attack people who post them, but I certainly don't come here looking for something like this. And there are times it seems that those who post them can't seem to post anything but gifs.

But I have yet to see an online forum with anonymous posters that stays 100% civil. The users need to police it themselves, by not responding to trolls, attacks, etc. The worst thing you can do when someone is just looking for reaction by posting inflammatory crap, is to respond to it. (I can't claim I haven't fallen into this, so I am not casting stones.)

I would like to see much more mature discussion.

Maybe Moderater should be changed to Mediator and they should go to school for different things?

I feel the same way, football conversation is non existent around here these days. I was hoping football talk would come back once the season got going, but it seems like that might have been a pipe dream. I don't blame the mods however, I just blame our community as a whole for letting the cancer spread like wild fire.

Football will be back and we can all complain. Diversity of opinion is a great thing for sports. I doubt any mods will really be wildly popular among the people they respect.

If someone has concerns about the site, they could contact the staff or even use the right section of the forum to discuss it.

But if you want to construct criticism, then please, by all means. Simply saying things aren't to your liking is not really helpful. We have posts on what people want to see in the right section. We have suggestion threads, and whatever I can personally implement (while being realistic) I do, as well as others. Not everything is can be done, you can't have your cake and eat it too, so to speak. But we do our best(and do it pro bono.)
