The quoted post was in reference to another poster saying he didn't want to be a fan of a team with a worse offense in the league. I thought most people knew that the Cubs aren't in the same league as the Sox.

My team sucks. What's your point? That Sox fans even while still nominally involved in the playoff picture seem to rely on beimg better as the Cubs as some sort of justification is my insecurity. Or that you want to blow out of proportion a snarky comment which by the way I was right about it?

The point is...if the situation is reversed, its a Sox fan with an insecurity complex trolling the Cubs board. Since your Cub fan, its ok because the Cubs suck? I get it, we are both making sweeping generalizations about the other side of town. Its just one of those things that annoys me.

It's obvious that the Sox need something different at 3B. Every single guy is gonna have a back or other injury problem, but the thing is that we need that offense.

beckham started playing well in ANA, hopefully it continues.
3b was an injured player there all year. we wont know what we will get out of 3b, but from here on out no matter if it is hudson,youk, mac etc should be better than the worst OPS in baseball in morel.

Definitely excited about Beckham. He's been hot lately, but not sure if that will continue or not.
I think the big thing is that all year we think and know that 3B won't be a position that would produce this year. That's why if the Sox can get someone to produce there it would be a huge swing.

youk may not be moved after all with ross going down. im not sure if the rsox want to keep gonzo in the outfield long term but this is probably their temp solution. he could get moved deadline time but i dont think right now.

So you're saying that you wouldn't take Youkillis with back issues over Morel with back issues? C'mon. Youk is better.
Even if the current players hit for career averages the White Sox don't win a championship. They might win the division and maybe a playoff series, but they won't win anything important. You can't say that with the current roster, the Sox are truly one of the best teams in the league.
