So what he's got a bad back. What third basemen doesn't?

As long as the Sox don't have to give up their entire pitching staff, he'll be worth it.

For a 34 year old hurt 3rdbasemen, maybe we take the chance but not for a sp.

The thing about Youk that is really appealing is his OBP.

We need someone with a high OBP to bat second. Right now there's nobody on the team that can do that. He would solve that problem and we would have a legit 3B that could hit the ball and actually do something on offense.

I never said that I want the Sox to get rid of a SP. But if they give up something minimal to get a guy who the Red Sox maybe don't want anymore because of his back issues.

It's like Crede post-Sox. Went to the twins and had one good year. It would be a short term fix until the Sox can do something about 3B.

At this point I would sacrifice the bat at 3b

And I told you fields got injured

You would sacrifice the bat at 3B?

HAVE YOU SEEN THE WHITE SOX OFFENSE?!

You can't win games if you don't score runs, and the White Sox don't score runs. If there's a worse offensive team in the league, I don't want to be a fan of that team because looking at the Sox offensive stats makes me want to puke.

Well, yeah. I realize that there are worse offensive teams in the league, but I wouldn't enjoy being a fan of those teams.

Only Konerko has relatively average numbers. Dunn has pretty good numbers, but is mostly a HR hitter which is fine.

Rios has had a good season, but not great.

Many believe that Ramirez has been good, but his numbers aren't that great.

Forgot about De Aza. He's 2nd to Konerko in WARP so far this year. I've been really impressed with him so far.

AJ is always pretty good, but never stellar. I don't expect him to be stellar though because he's the catcher.

I'd like to see more offensive production out of the infield.
