LOL thats your opinion,LOL
Opinions should be changed when they are based on ignorance.

Not to throw fuel on the pippen argument but he did deserve to be in the running for that year.
I think third place was ideal for Pip, but one of the Sonics, most likely Payton, should have gotten recognition also.
Hakeem>Pippen for the same reason Pippen>Larry Johnson or Rik Smits.
Guy A is playing at a much higher level than guy B.

Pippen played at a very high level that year, I don't think Hakeem was in another stratosphere, he was a better player who shouldered the load and his team was more successful.
What sullies the argument is the asinine claims of some as to the importance of Pippen overall, and where he stands in the pantheon of greats. He was not robbed, there was no bias....all that crap dirties up the argument. You have one guy blaming all of the postseason failures on Hue Hollins...which means you didn't watch the series.
Well here's how I would vote if I had 10 names to cast a ballot for in the 1994 MVP race:
my 1st-place vote: Hakeem Olajuwon (and it's a no-brainer)
my 2nd-place vote: David Robinson
my 3rd-place vote: Charles Barkley
my 4th-place vote: Shaquille O'Neal
my 5th-place vote: Scottie Pippen
rounding out the top 10:
Gary Payton
Karl Malone
Patrick Ewing
John Stockton
Kevin Willis
And, yep. People really need to understand the games before they cast judgment.
Wow......................very interesting
Myself I would go
1-pippen or hakeem
2-pippen or hakeem
3-barkley
wait a minute.....................kevin willis?
Robinson and Barkley were easily more valuable to their respective teams than Pippen was to the Bulls.
And Kevin Willis was a monster back then. Shawn Kemp has a case to be made himself for the top 10 in value.
Strongly disagree with you there buddy and that fact that kevin willis is even in this discussion makes me feel like this whole topic may prove futile from my standpoint, and with that I respect your opinion but highly disagree.

I can't agree with that. Phoenix regressed that year and Robinson had as strong a case as anyone outside of Hakeem...
Phoenix wasn't too shabby as a team either. They did go up on Houston 3-1 after all...
The Suns needed Barkley's scoring, passing, and rebounding ability even more than ever that season. As a team, they did regress, which is a lot of the reason Chuck didn't get back-to-back MVPs. But after Tom Chambers and Dumas left the roster, they became even more dependent on Charles.
And I actually think Robinson had about as good of a supporting cast as Hakeem did. Dale Ellis, Dennis Rodman, Vinny Del Negro, Willie Anderson, with Antoine Carr's energy off the bench... yet they finished 2 games under Houston.
