Pippen never led a team to 15 wins. And I've watched them both play to. Wades a better scorer. Pippens better at everything else.

I'm not hating on LeBron, that's like me saying you love him for not agreeing with me, but I won't say that and I don't think that. I stated from the classic games and highlights I have seen from Worthy, I thought he shouldn't be replaced on the 50 greatest players list if LeBron was solely to replace him. I even admitted that I'm not even old enough to pretend I saw him play because I'm not, hence why I said classic games and highlights. I understand you think LeBron is a better player than Wade and that's fine. I just always thought Wade was the better player.

No, people act crazy when outlandish statements are made. Lebron James is a great player, you may not be "big on Lebron" but do you have to hate on him in the process?
I will repeat what I have said in the past...just as with Shaq and Kobe, I have seldom if ever rooted for those guys to win...anything. However, they were great players and I can be objective in how I view those players relative to history with no problems.

If you have an issue with what I have posted, than tell me. Don't make comments and not have the sense to debate me on it. Unlike you, I would keep it on topic. But if you know you can't like I'm thinking you are not able to do, then be quite because everyone else here is ignoring you as well.

Hey I'm with you. I never stated LeBron was a overrated player or anything, I know is a highly talented player. I can't stand Kobe at all but I think he is the best player in the league. I can't stand Shaq as well but from like 2000 to 2003 that guy was just unstoppable. So I don't act that unrealisitic lol.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Even if I don't agree with the Worthy > LeBron thing....but, he's doing what he's supposed to do....discuss....on a discussion board.

I have a high opinion of Scottie Pippen. I respect him as a solid all-around offensive player, one of the greatest defenders this game has ever seen and a world-class athlete.
But, the Top 50 list has to include guys from the 70s, 60s etc..
If I were coaching a game in 2011, would I take Pippen over Dave DeBusschere? Of course. But the list need to include players from the NBAs past.
But this was the NBA's list - not my personal list. My personal list would include mostly players from the 80s to the present. I was looking at it from that point of view.
As far as your list - I'm not taking off Stockton, Parish, McHale, Drexler or Worthy. I also think Dominique Wilkins should have been on the original top 50. But I would add Bill Walton to your list of guys that should come off.
You listed 17 guys, I would not have 5 on there. That puts your list down to 12.
I listed 10 guys that could be on there, then throw in the 2 point guards I left out (Kidd and Nash). That's 12.
So Pippen could be a guy that comes off the list. His spot in a Top 50, in 2011, isn't "firmly entrenched."

I have no problem with him disagreeing with me and discussing his opinions. My problems are his jabs towards me just because he disagrees with my opinion. Houheffna is doing the samething, but we are having a healthy debate without the name calling. I was simply stating he can debate with me, he doesn't to resort to calling me a moron when I can simply tell him why I made that statement without attacks.

I don´t like the top 50 list because I find it hard to compare a PG with a C.
My top 50 would look like this:
Top 10 PG + top 10 SG + top 10 SF + top 10 PF + top 10 C = TOP 50!!!
So all I have to think about is: is Scottie under the ten best SF of all time???

Post the san antonio vs bulls game where stacey king gets in fight with dennis rodman..Also you have my permission to post the many games in 1994 where the bulls totally dominated the pacers.....Keep posting and don't listen to the people hating on us.....These guys should just thank you for giving readers and members a visual perspective.....Bottom line is the 94 bulls have no problem beating the 2011 bulls or 94 Rockets..I would bet my large fortune, many swiss bank accounts and my many properties on my theory...I'm that confident..

I didn't say those guys didn't deserve to be on the top 50. I said I wouldn't put them in over pippen. I didn't take off all the greats from the pre 80s, just guys that believe based on what I've seen, read about, heard were nothing more than great scorers. And then, great scorers in an era were they were taking about 30% more shots. And thats really the only thing they have over pippen. But if pippen had on avg an xtra 5 shots a game, wven with jordan, you don't think he gets an xtra 3 ppg?
Most of the guys on my list accomplished no more than pippen. Let's take stockton. He's a great player no doubt, his claim to fame is being one of the greatest passers ever. Pippens claim to fame is being one of the greatests defenders ever. Both have a lot of all-nba and all-defense teams etc. The differecene is one guy has 6 championships, the other has none. And you can use the jordan excuse, but stockton did have malone. Who's no slouch.
Look at george gervin. A great scorer, but nothing more. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he couldn't even win a championship in the aba. Was a terrible defender, and mediocer rebounder.

After reading the last few pages of this post where you guys are saying that pippen doesn't deserve to be in the top 50 alltime, I about gave up hope that the posters on this thread will ever get there brain cells back...Just say no to drugs because it is distorting your logic, mind and vision...PIPPEN MORE THAN DESERVES TO BE ON THE TOP 50 LIST FOR CERTAIN..IF HE DIDN'T, HE WOULDN'T BE ON THE LIST IN THE FIRST PLACE..THE EXPERTS PLACED HIM THERE, NOPT A BUNCH OF WANNABE NO IT ALLS ON A MESSAGBOARD....I AM ASHAMED TO CALL YOU GUYS BULLS FANS SOMTIMES...I PERSONALLY WOULD PUT PIPPEN IN THE TOP 20 OF ALL TIME somewhere in between 10 to 15...That is my opinion in reality..you doont have to agree with me...It is what it is..

You know it´s all subjective!!! Some guys like centers more, some like guards more and some like forwards more. In my list for example there would be much more guards than forwards or centers!

Its ok for Pip to be in the top 50 because the experts put him there...but when the experts say he is not the MVP...decidedly...they are wrong....OK!!!!!
