I understand people may think some are crazy, insulting, and moronic for saying certain players are better than LeBron. But not everyone thinks alike. I find it sad that people get trashed just by saying someone is better than LeBron James. It's not like people are saying Jud Buchler or Calbert Chainey are better, these people are saying Hall of Fame caliber players are better. Is that really crazy for some to think that? I don't think so.

career wise, i think pippen is arguably more accomplished..

and pippen is more versatile on defense

but lebron is a better scorer, its about even rebounding, and lebron has better court vision

lebron is more athletic,stronger,etc.

lebron has two MVPs...led cleveland to two 60 win seasons and an nba finals appearance

i respect your opinion..and i understand why you think pippen is better...and right now i dont think thats too ridiciulous to argue...pippen is quite a bit better than worthy(srsly worthy is overrated as hell)

i think lebron is better..but thats jmo

and no i dont think lebron is better than everyone else..but i think people take the finals as the bible and dictation for players because its in their most recent memory...

just a reality check..dirk is not a god...neither is wade..and lebron is still the best player on the planet

not to say at this point pippen>lebron is not a terrible argument...but just because lebron sucked in the finals doesnt mean we can make up crap(that's more in general..not directed towards the pippen argument)

Look fellas, Pippen said the guy was talented enough to be better than Jordan...he holds Lebron in higher regard than his own fans do. I don't think Pippen thinks Pippen is better than Lebron...not at all....lol.

Its like arguing that Magic is better than Jordan...when Magic has already stated that Jordan is the greatest ever...period, recently said it on twitter, disagreeing with Kareem.

Yes he is.

and pippen is more versatile on defense
He's just flat out better on defense. Aside from the chase down block, lebron has nothing else.

but lebron is a better scorer, its about even rebounding, and lebron has better court vision
lebron's scoring is the result of him having the ball and calling the shots, which usually go to him. I've seen Pippen make some crazy passes. So court vision, I don't know.

lebron is more athletic, stronger, etc.
Like I said, more physically gifted, not more talented

lebron has two MVPs...led cleveland to two 60 win seasons and an nba finals appearance
His MVP's were pretty much handed to him. ESPN hyped him both of those seasons and never included anyone else in the discussions. They pretty much crowned him from the start of the season, both times.

I respect your opinion, and I understand why you think Pippen is better...and right now I don't think that's too ridiculous to argue. Pippen is quite a bit better than worthy (srsly worthy is overrated as hell)
Totally agree with the last part.

I think lebron is better, but that's jmo
You're entitled. (See how I didn't call you an idiot?)

and no, I don't think lebron is better than everyone else, but I think people take the finals as the bible and dictation for players because it's in their most recent memory.
The Finals is where it counts the most. If you don't perform there, your rankings fall in my book. That's why Kobe isn't really high on my list. Because despite his 5 rings, he has not one definable moment in the Finals. None, and neither does lebron

Just a reality check, Dirk is not a god, neither is Wade, and lebron is still the best player on the planet
But they are both better than lebron. They've both led teams to titles while lebron is 0-2

not to say at this point pippen>lebron is not a terrible argument, but just because lebron sucked in the finals doesn't mean we can make up crap(that's more in general..not directed towards the pippen argument)
I'm sorry but no one has to make up anything when all you have to do is watch the "best player on the planet" stink up the gym on the games' biggest stage, for its' grandest prize.

lebron doesn't do much for me. He's all hype and no substance.

He's not better than Wade. Barkley is debatable. Dr. J?? No way. LeBron is way better than Dirk. Duncan is also debatable.
In your book. But in my book, lebron has to live up to the hype to move past those all time greats.

All he has done is put up empty stats.

Imo Pierce, McGrady, Gervin, Iverson, and Wilkins are all debatable. They're all betters scorers than him, sure, but as overall players? I'd take Pippen personally.

Just as a question, do you think that players like Barkley, Stockton, Malone, Miller, and a lot of other guys who never won a ring put up empty stats? They're unanimously recognized as some of the best players ever despite their lack of a ring. You don't see Robert Horry up on the list of greats because he has a lot of rings. I'm not attacking, I'm just saying/asking.

I agree with everything except the bolded.

Lebron led the Cavs to 60 wins 2 years in a row, and his efforts were similar to DRose's this season in the playoffs, the fact that both got fatigued by the playoffs. There is some substance to Lebron, but ESPN's :fap: to Lebron is too much, and I agree.

Kobe doesn't have defining Fnials moments? :cmonman: 2 Finals MVPs in the last 3 seasons don't do it? Kobe had his help with Shaq, who was better than him, but Kobe was without a doubt the best player on the last two Lakers Finals teams.

Yes it is, because we have to praise lebron and never criticize him.

Pippen is not a better player than Barkley or Malone...neither of those guys won a title...I think people are a little smarter than that. And by the way, when did Pippen become Mr. Clutch?

When comparing Lebron to Scottie the LAST thing that should be brought up is who showed up in the fourth quarter offensively.

None of those guys came in with the amount of hype that lebron did either. So yes, his stats are empty. lebron's barometer is rings, nothing less. We all know it. Let's not act like it isn't.

ESPN has made it that way and everyone bought the hype.

See, I'm sorry...but you can't say dumb shit like "scoring is overrated" and then say that is "just your opinion" and that excuse the fact that the statement is stupid. Not the person...the statement.

You're entitled to disagree.

Lebron led the Cavs to 60 wins 2 years in a row, and his efforts were similar to DRose's this season in the playoffs, the fact that both got fatigued by the playoffs. There is some substance to Lebron, but ESPN's :fap: to Lebron is too much, and I agree.
If it wasn't for ESPN, I'd probably like lebron, but then his arrogance and douchiness would turn me right off. The difference between lebron and Rose is, lebron is expected to win titles, Rose isn't.

Kobe doesn't have defining Finals moments? :cmonman: 2 Finals MVPs in the last 3 seasons don't do it? Kobe had his help with Shaq, who was better than him, but Kobe was without a doubt the best player on the last two Lakers Finals teams.
I disagree with that. His numbers suck and people can make an argument for Pau in at least the first one. What I mean by defining moment is Jordan's shrug, the switch hands, Dr. J's under the rim shot against the lakers, or his Rock the baby to sleep dunk, Magic's baby Sky hook.

Plays like that.

Kobe has none of them.

Guys like Iverson and McGrady weren't one dimensional players. They weren't the defenders that Pippen was but they were far far shabby either.

How soon we forget...

Iverson is one of my all time favorites. T-mac was good for a few years, but fell off fast due to injuries.

I'd take them both over lebron in their primes

People shouldn't evaluate players in terms of expectations. They should do it in terms of what they can or cannot do and how well they were/weren't at certain areas.

We need to be objective, or we may do something weird like say Dr. J was better than Kobe or Pippen/Nowitzki is better than LeBron.

At least LeBron James never refused to come in the game.

Scottie Pippen is a better post-up player and defender than James and is much less off at everything else.

Lol the man turned on his city, he said he'd miss his childs birth for a playoff game. And I know you don't want to talk about players quiting.

I love both of those players but it's hard to put either ahead of LeBron James. James is a better defensive player, passer, and about as good of a scorer overall as those two.

Can you tell that to ESPN, please?

We need to be objective, or we may do something weird like say Dr. J was better than Kobe or Pippen/Nowitzki is better than LeBron.
Just because you don't feel that way, doesn't make anyone else wrong if they do.

That's where the problem comes in. People can't have their opinion without being attacked for not going with popular opinion or regurgitating what ESPN says.
