yes pippen was a huge part in why jordan won championships(partly because alot of the eastern dynastic teams of the 80s were falling and there was a transition period..however that doesnt mean that the nba overall was down)..but jordan won games and series before pippen...

and lets not act like the pippen was a better winner than jordan or would have been a top 5 great if he had been playing long term as the leader of a team like the bulls....

And then he says stupid things like pippen wasn't clutch. Well what about the blocks on charles smith? Or the close out game 5 in 91? Or 92 game 6? Or the steal he got in 97 vs the jazz? Those are just a few clutch moments and showed his ability to take over games. He wasn't a 40 type guy, but that wasn't his style. His game was great defense and versitily. And in that he was clutch and excelled. Its like knocking chris paul for not posting up kobe this past finals. It just dumb.

now do i think this simulator is void of fallacies and inaccuracies? absolutely not(underrates defense..shown by the high scoring of the 10-11 bulls despite being defensively based)....

still those simulations cannot be completely dismissed...10-11 bulls won 4-0...does that mean they'd be that dominating over the 93-94 bulls? no

but the 10-11 bulls are a fantastic defensive team not to mention they have a good frontline and the MVP

you dont think pippen or his team would have trouble offensively against Noah,Deng,and Brewer who are fantastic defenders...and Thib's fantastic team defensive scheme as a whole?

that 93-94 bulls team isnt miami....Pippen doesnt have Wade and Bosh on his team..


not to mention the defensive "prowess" of teams and players in that era is a little distorted due to the hand check rule...doesnt mean that pippen isnt a fantastic defender or the 93-94 team doesnt play great defense in a different era...but the hand check thing should be taken into account

I never said pippen wasnt clutch i never said he wasnt a great versatile player and defender....but dont tell me he was a better winner than jordan....the difference between pippen and jordan was that pippen was a great defensive player and versatile and a winner BUT his offense was good not great...jordan has the best offense of all time in an era where defense was distorted(and its not like jordan was inefficient..shot over 50% for his career...)AND was a fantastic defender and winner

but its really hard to judge pippen's overall greatness by one and half seasons one way or another really...

Nobody calls Bruce Bowen "clutch"...because that refers in general to the offensive side of the ball, not defense. David Robinson wasn't clutch...he won a title and was DPOY and MVP. Pippen was clutch offensively and defensively. I named times in which he came through both offensively and defensively. And when you say a better scorer do you mean better than him? Better than pete myers? What? And don't forget all of the great players had great scorers around them. Why should pippen be held to a higher standard?
