At eight million each perhaps, we need to get rid of Hammer, Bolland and maybe one more random player... I'd check but I'm on my phone now.

If you got both Suter and Parise, you could also deal Kane to make it work.

The problem is that if you sign these big names now, in 2015 will you be able to sign Toews? Maybe. But who knows.

It might make things dicey, but signing those big names gives you a 3 year window to win some Cups which I would gladly take even at the risk of losing Capt. Serious (player or the poster).

But we don't know what was offered. Salaries could be front loaded for a lower cap hit. Cap hit is what counts.

You don't think there is a team that would gladly move picks and prospects for him after they miss out on Parise?

A 10 year deal that is front loaded probably still has a big cap hit in 2015

Very true.

I'd like for it to happen if it's possible, but I'm not getting my hopes up by believing that kind of rumor. If it happens, yeah I'll flip.

of course, but the hawks might want something other than picks and specs. I know I would.

K, so we have $7,754,872.

I'm going to say Parise and Suter each get 8 Mill for the sake of having a benchmark to use.

That gives us $-8245128

Ship Bolland for picks and we have $-4870128
Same for Hjalmarsson and we have $-1370128

Find a taker for Montador or Frolik and we could have enough, but we need to add one player then, so we may go back over.

The final player would need to be below:
$1379872 (if Montador)
$963205 (if Frolik)

It would take work, but it is doable... hard part will be getting a taker for Montador or Frolik.

mathematically a 10 year deal = the cap hit by averages. Thats why I think the Hawks offered the 12-13 year deal.
