I hope the red wings trade for bouwmeester. If they trade for him that's a big cap hit, and if they trade for him the hawks can't get him

It doesn't sit well because I expect the Blackhawks to land impact players at need positions (Suter)

That doesn't mean I expect the GM to splash in free agency every summer, after 2 offseasons of limited resources in FA, I thought the Blackhawks should have made a splash.

To confrim I'm not angry at Parise not signing with Chicago. There wasn't anything Bowman could do if his mind was made up on those two places. Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun

So you are mad at the Hawks because Parise convinced Suter to come to Minnesota... okay.

You should've had low exceptions when FA started.

Blowman doesn't have a pair to fix the problems plaguing this team.

And i'm not talking Suter/Parise.

1. You mean expectations right?

2. Yes, you are talking Suter and Parise because those are the only big names that have been signed so far.

Well you are mad we weren't able to get Suter and saying that the Hawks don't care and stuff... he didn't want to come here.

Which is fine, but this trend of players not signing with the Blackhawks should concern fans.

Like Capt. says, this goes beyond these two particular free agents.

Alex Semin past 4 seasons: 271 points in 277 GP (NHL Rank) .978 pts per game (14) .44 goals per game (11th). +92 (4th amongst all forwards)

More Alexander Semin facts: +92 past 4 seasons. Only 4 players have a better +/-: Chara (108) Burrows (107) H. Sedin (106) D. Sedin (104)

It could become a more significant trend.

Parise and Suter for two.

Let me guess, the Blackhawks are doing everything right amirite?

Wild are dumb for signing those 2, right? But if Bowman did I bet you guys would have a ticker tape parade?

It's OK to say the Blackhawks are falling short. It doesn't mean they're the worst team in the NHL or that its "likely" they miss the playoffs. It means that they're losing the lead they once had in the talent gap.

They don't need to spend an assload of money every offseason on free agents, but to hear that they pursued Suter and fell short worries me as a fan. .

First you said it's a trend, now it "could" be a trend.

They missed out on TWO players. I'm far from worried about NHLers desire to play in Chicago.
