Yes!! Goldstein said Cubs likely would of took him #1. I would of took Correa still but I like Almora a ton also

MLBTV comparing Almora to Adam Jones.

I'll take that all day long.

I know it's just a projection, but still.

Almora is certainly a solid pick. He has elite defensive skills, and does everything well.

Half of my conspiracy theory (the most likely part I must add) has happened. for the other half to happen.

As much as I like Almora and I understand the money concerns with Appel, but Appel was far and away the best player on the board.

I know I shouldn't be upset with the pick but I am somewhat...but I'm trusting Thoyer.

Almora isn't a guy without a lot of upside, but I think he is also one of the safer picks in terms of makeup and a lot of talk was that he could move quickly through the system.

Appel is a product of media/ Scott Boras hype. He is a good talent but pretty overrated IMO

Giolito is still on the board. Until we get past Washington or Toronto though I won't start really thinking my crazy idea might work out.

It will be interesting to see how many of these high school guys sign. I am trusting that the Cubs will get their guy. I don't think they would have been so locked in if there was any doubt that they would get him signed.

Talk of Giolito going in the teens. Mayo though keeping my hopes alive of him lasting through the first round.

White Sox aren't a team I was afraid of taking him. The Jays, Nats, Rangers, and Phils worry me the most.
