According to the Chicago Bears Nation Facebook page.

Chicago Bears Nation: Cutler says he plans on going to Florida this off-season to work with Marshall, Jeffery, Martellus Bennett & Marquess Wilson.

No way Cutler is at or above the level of Big Ben.

Yeah I think Ben tends to get a little underrated by some. That being said he played pretty poorly in his first SB and the Steelers still won. To put that in perspective Grossman had a substantially better rating than Ben in his SB appearance.

Hey, Shea McClellin, Mel Tucker, Trestman and now Jay Cutler (the pouting face of the Chicago Bears) for the next several years. Go Hawks!

You're a Lions fan. Stop deluding yourself, you have more than most to be miserable about. Chin up.

In his first SB he really did play like shit.

Luckily for him, the Steelers had one of the best defenses in the league. Really, the Steelers won that SB on two huge plays from the offense. 75 yard run from Willie Parker and a 40+ yard pass to Ward from Randle El. Outside of that, PIT's defense pretty much took care of that game.

Who actually roots for Jay to fail? Come on now. I think most people would be quite happy if Jay actually fucking won. It's just that when he inevitably fails, some people take comfort in shitting on him for that failure.

Jay Cutler is a real life fantasy player. If the Bears get beat by the Pack and Rodgers is on your fantasy team and has a big game, you at least have that to be somewhat happy about. Cutler is that for many people. They want the Bears to win but if they get their ass handed to them then well at least the guy they think suck ended up sucking.

Doubtful. He just revels in the failure that he does not wish for but is convinced is going to happen regardless because Jay is our QB.

BEARS FANS SHOULD BE CELEBRATING.

Our offense is getting better and better. It isngoing to be 2000 Rams-esque in 2015

I think it's that those people that value the Super Bowl over everything else can't look past his two rings. His style of play is all risk/reward. For me he's a little too inconsistent to love, but I completely respect his ability to stand in harms way waiting for any chance that comes. I just think the success that comes from that kind of game is unsustainable.

:bears:Yes I love it we are set a QB for awhile and can draft a QB and bring him along slowly. As far as all the Cutler haters, HA HA HA HA HA now go over to the Green Bay Packer boards we are tired of your so called support on these boards and you can go cheer for your boy Rodgers, phony ass Bears fans. You rather root for Cutler to fail than to see the Bears win. Go away and never come back.:doorrofl:

Its rare that that happens. The last team to win a Super Bowl with a bad QB was the 2000 Ravens. The rules have been changed a shit ton to favor QBs and the offense since then.

I mean:
2012 - Flacco
2011 - Eli Manning
2010 - Rodgers
2009 - Brees
2008 - Roethliesberger
2007 - Eli Manning
2006 - Peyton Manning
2005 - Roethlisberger
2004 - Brady
2003 - Brady
2002 - Brad Johnson
2001 - Brady
2000 - Dilfer
1999 - Warner
1998 - Elway
1997 - Elway
1996 - Favre
1995 - Aiken
1994 - Young
1993 - Aiken
1992 - Aiken

Dilfer and Brad Johnson are the two worst QBs there.

21 years back? Why such a random sample size?

Got it:

1991 Mark Rypien
1990 Jeff Hostetler
1987 Doug Williams
1985 Jim McMahon

Yeah it's a passing league now. I just though going back 21 seasons and stopping at 1992 looked fishy, it was. Going back two more seasons doubles the number of iffy QB's with rings. Five more years triples it.

I think theses days you need either a great QB, or a guy that gets super hot at the right time. I think Jay can and will be great.

Meatball.

Ok, time for the important question. When are we signing Josh McCown to cover for Jay when he misses his customary 3-7 games a year?

Customary would be every season.

as opposed to rooting for the Bears to be handcuffed by Cutler instead of pursuing a more consistent option that would limit turnovers and take them into the playoffs routinely?

Now that the orders of battle have been deployed, mods, care to revisit the QB subforum idea?
