Holy cow...This thread is still going on?

The cunting has shifted to how much he is being paid. Of course it was the natural step after realizing he's not going anywhere.

Yeah im not happy with the numbers but Flacco got hot at the right time and that's it. They took away two weapons from him and he fell apart. He didn't even revert to average like Cutler was when he had shit around him, he just sucked

All the more reason for Emery to be circumspect when coming up with this deal. He should have been thinking, "I'm not going to overpay just because the Ravens did, look how that turned out." Instead, he one-upped the Ravens with a larger deal, more years, and more guaranteed money. At least Flacco had the courtesy of winning the superbowl first.

True. How does it stack up year for year? Seems that it's frontloaded to the first three seasons. Just don't get caught up in the hooplah, I don't agree with the amount either, but it is what it is. Money, time, belief - time for Cutler to produce. I said it earlier in the thread.

Fair enough Nick. Let me ask you this. With this kind of signing, is it fair to now EXPECT nothing but elite play from him from now on going forward?

Remember when Brigg's got all that $ upfront than cried when he got to the end of his current deal.

I wish Jay handled it like a real Bear.

So Cutler was full of shit when he said he would play for less than that.

No we got a deal for him. He would have gotten more money out in FA. You really have to understand this is the best qb we have had since 92 or so.

Make no mistake, if it had been for 200 million all guaranteed and the Bears were handicapped from signing any FAs for five years, the likes of desperado would be celebrating even more vociferously. Like I've always said, they care more about Cutler than they do the success of the Bears.

Guys need to relax. The 126 million looks big because it is 7 years. Jay is never going to see the last two years of the deal. Furthermore, I suspect Stein has structured it in a way where the cap hit for Jay is actually going to be less than the 14 million it was this year. Here his how you can easily structure a 7 year 126 million deal with 54 million guaranteed assuming the guaranteed money is all signing bonus.

BS SB Cap Hits
3m 7.72m 10.72m
5m 7.72m 12.72m
7m 7.72m 14.72m
10m 7.72m 17.72m
11m 7.72m 18.72m
18m 7.72m 25.72m
18m 7.72m 25.72m
72m 54.0m 126.04m

Doesn't matter how many times the logical side of this gets posted, the manstruation will continue to flow.

Surprising #s for Cutler, too high IMO. I think they may be anticipating on cutting another players contract? But hey, it's their money so long as this doesn't hurt them
in the FA signings.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO THE PRESSER VIDEO?

When you can play like that against the Cleveland browns, worth every penny.

^This... I don't understand why the "boo butthurt" crowd is still flipping out. He is the Bear's QB going forward whether you like him or not, and the dollar amount leaves the Bears money to fix other needs this offseason.

Lol you're so stupid that you don't realize when your foot is in your mouth. This is now the second time you've essentially admitted that having Cutler and annoying those who aren't sold on him is more important to you than the success of the Bears. Hilarious! Desperado gets somewhat of a pass because he's a college age dumbass with an insecurity problem. What's your excuse?
