Are NFL contracts suddenly set in stone now?
Some people are just mad because the FO has mad their thoughts on Cutler known and those thoughts differ from the troll's.

The way I see it the Bears rule Cutler's career now. No more risk that all that was given for him will simply walk out the door.

Rodgers- 7 years $130.75 mil and $54 mil guaranteed
Cutler---- 7 years $126.00 mil and $54 mil guaranteed

Rodgers costs $678,000 more per year than Cutler

I really hope we don't draft a QB this year. We have two QB's now more than capable of running the system, why even waste the pick on a rookie QB when we have so many holes to fill

Because we have a "franchise" QB that turns the ball over nearly as often as he throws TDs. That makes the front office confidence in him even more disconcerting; for all his"growth" this year he still turned the ball over as often as ever.

Turnovers are literally the only argument cutler haters have to fall back on. Let's not focus on his huge jump in comp%. Let's keep focusing on those damn turnovers like its the only thing in the world that matters

Even if it were, which it's not, it's a pretty solid fucking argument.

Then there's his slow/poor reads, his inaccuracy, his mechanics, his...

Kramer reveals to George that Jerry is sleeping with his maid. George remarks that he's done that as well, and asks Jerry if he's ever eaten an ostrich burger. When Jerry says he hasn't George has proven that he has one-upped him.

I would have been fine with a contract that at least acknowledged the possibility that he is not the answer at QB, which is a very reasonable consideration, but in this case they've pretty much entitled him to something he hasn't earned in the least. I seriously have to question a GM and coach that can look at Jay Cutler and all the plays that he leaves on the field and say. "Hey, let's give that guy 7 years and 50m guaranteed."

I just can't trust a front office that willing to put all their chips on Jay Cutler.

Well thank god your trust is not a requirement for a Super Bowl victory, lol.

Or... some people just have different thoughts?

But because they don't agree with you they're "trolls."

Well duhhh. Isn't that in the Internet forum rule book?

Maybe you should prepare yourself mentally for the contract to be structured such that its team friendly to cut him later if they want.

Longer contract is better for the cap...

Cutler's contract and the other re-signings are going to impact free agency.

I think the amount spent is going to take guys like Hardy off the table unless he is our entire free agency.

I am guessing we will have about a 20 million dollar budget.

Wrong QB dude. You just described Eli Manning instead. Oh' my bad, Eli throws more int's than he throws td's.

To be honest, I just got home an hour or so ago and have no idea how the contract is structured, with that said, Julius Peppers disagrees with you.
