That contract is fucking Special person. It shakes my confidence in Phil. Hopefully Cutler finally stays healthy for a full year and gets his head out of his ass and has a career year next year. Otherwise, this has fail written all over it. I wonder how much this is affecting free agent signings for the defense.

Maybe you should prepare yourself mentally for the contract to be structured such that its team friendly to cut him later if they want.

Longer contract is better for the cap...

Ain't even worth it man. Let them latch onto their schtick and repeat it over an over.

You realize after we cut Peppers its nearly a wash between cap savings and hit? Meaning we will still have a giant fucking amount of cap space. Mind you that doesn't even include other obvious cuts like Podlesh.

Kramer reveals to George that Jerry is sleeping with his maid. George remarks that he's done that as well, and asks Jerry if he's ever eaten an ostrich burger. When Jerry says he hasn't George has proven that he has one-upped him.

I recall one other point it was with Jerry and Elaine talking about something and George butted in saying, "you know what I've always wanted to do. Eat an ostrich burger"... Then after being ignored reiterated. "they say it has less fat, but you eat more of it"... And um, that's relevant here folks. Somehow

Nope. This is it, this is our entire offseason. There will be no cuts, restructures, extensions and signings. Im not going to sit there and say I like the numbers but man some folks are getting a little crazy. It essentially for 3 years

Even if it were, which it's not, it's a pretty solid fucking argument.

Then there's his slow/poor reads, his inaccuracy, his mechanics, his...

It's a solid argument but it gets so old. especially when those people actively ignore facets of his game where Cutler has shown noticable improvement, such as his comp%.

People have to have faith that Cutler will continue to improve in this system. It's as simple as that. Either you believe in Trestman or you don't.

I'd let go of my schtick if I could, unfortunately it's still a foot deep in your ass.

Ugh, you just finished saying you just found out about the contract and don't know how its structured. What I said to bot was aimed at everyone else that has been stuck repeating the same shit. However don't let that get in the way of being a dick. That is your right.

Turnovers are literally the only argument cutler haters have to fall back on. Let's not focus on his huge jump in comp%. Let's keep focusing on those damn turnovers like its the only thing in the world that matters

I think Josh McCown's success is the main argument Cutler haters have to fall back on. Do you give Jay 18 million a year or do you pay McCown 4 million for 2 years, use the defense on defensive FAs and then draft a QB in the first round.

That alternative was entirely reasonable and one I would not have had an issue with. Either way, it is a moot point now but trying to pretend there was no other options and people are just hating is silly.

Some where pack fans are rejoicing looks like Rodgers is going to kill us the rest of his career sigh..

I'm not sure if you noticed while watching the game Sunday, but if we even had a HALF WAY good D, we beat the Packers with Rodgers.

if that was the best option, don't you think Trestman/Emery would have went with it?

again it comes down to faith, either you have faith in what this coach/GM is doing or you don't.

Trestman could have easily said "I hate this guy Jay, he doesn't fit my system, get rid of him."

I agree that unless we change defensive coordinators, Peppers will need to be cut entirely. No sense in even trying to get him to take a pay cut. But by the same token, that will leave us with 0 defensive ends.

Think you need to see the cap hits first. Aaron Rodgers only counted 12 million against the Cap this year and I think there is no way on earth Cutler ever sees 126 million.

@ Remy - Perhaps it's all good, last time I was there, there was a new fancy joint opened up my links around London Bridge aren't what they used to be, I tend to drink North now, so I'm probably less well informed than you are. I do remember some good pubs tucked away around the back of the hospital and a bit further down although they are pumping alot of money into the area to make it all shiney.

I should go for a visit.
