REALITY
I told you guys in October that there was no way in hell Emery & Trestman were allowing Cutler to leave. It was simply common sense.

Emery's goal from day 1 was to make sure Jay Cutler would remain a Chicago Bear. Since taking over as GM, he has:

-Traded for Cutler's buddy, Brandon Marshall

-Removed Lovie Smith

-Hired Marc Trestman and Aaron Kromer

-Removed Brian Urlacher & his political power

-Re-tooled the O-Line

-Signed Martellus Bennett

-Developed Alshon Jeffery

I also mentioned that a deal was already in place between Cutler & the Bears months ago.

I personally believe that a deal has already been reached. They just haven't formally announced it yet.

Probably this week or next.

Below is my post from the Robbie Gould re-signing from last week:

I think he purposely "broke" the rule with Gould's announcement, so it won't look like a suspicious double standard when he announces Cutler's extension early next week  .

It was all a smokescreen from day 1.

Bearsbud isn't a bad guy, he's just dumb. The taunting from him and desperado are predictable but meaningless. Did you expect anything less? And are you really bothered by what people of their intellect say?

Yup..were the dumb ones for putting up with the barrage of anti- Cutler posts made by the usual suspects and yet we were proven right

I agree that he wont see all his contract but we luckily get to see at least 3 to 4 years of you acting like a scorned woman. Now shut up, cheer for Jay and go make me a sandwich

I'll be doing the same as I've been doing for the last three years - watching the Bears fail with mostly indifference.

I was right, again. As was Bearsbud. What level of intellect are you when you wish ill wil/injury on a guy you never met?

Watching this presser, I'm grateful that my beloved team is in such analytical, thoughtful & articulate hands. Rock on, Phil. I have no doubt that he and Coach T agonized over the QB situation. If they see Cutler as our future, then so be it. I have faith that the Chicago Fucking Bears will be winning a SuperBowl very, very soon.

My buddy just posted this lmao

Every time I see a Cutler hater mention something that they deem rational, I always play my own version of a skewed Billy Madison quote that sounds something like this, "Mr./ Mrs. "Supposed huge Bear Fan", what you've just said....is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point during your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Every other Bear Fan is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no fan points, and may Coach Ditka have mercy on your soul...."

Again, you have a very weird perception of "mad". I knew he would be signed in some capacity and that he will continue to fail. That was the case yesterday and it's still the case today. I'm just thankful that he's never going to see half of the contract out because I'd kinda like to win another Superbowl. Apparently you wouldn't.

I don't want the Bears to win another Super Bowl? You are the one that would rather see Cutler fail than the Bears win a super bowl.

Who is that in your signature?

Honestly I'm not sure. I just found it one day on a sports website and couldn't stop looking at it, made me a bit dizzy. So I thought some here might like it.

Looks like it is $18 mil for the first three years. That is an awful lot. I was hoping more in the 13-15 range. We shall see when the total numbers are released but I feel like we overpaid.
