Training camp is played at full speed and at game situation with Barker trying to make the team I'm not surprised he played the body.

I remember Barker being a pretty good checker and having a bit of an edge on him.   It's the NHL, and that doesn't mean no-contact hockey league.   IMO it's being blown out of proportion.   TT should get used to it, he's going to have to play through a lot of physical intimidation and checking in his career.  </p>

I'm not saying Barker didn't have an edge to him, I'm just saying that I heard about this specific incident that Barker somewhat "blindsided" (I use that in the loosest possible terms) TT in the open ice.  To me that would be like John Scott catching Victor Stalberg open ice--the only way that happens is if Stalberg wasn't paying attention due to the speed/agility difference.</p>

It's more of an indictment against TT--at his size he needs to keep his head on a swivel because, much like Kane's early years, he's rather easy to put ass-over-teakettle right into the bench.</p>
