Cody Hodgson placed on waivers today... and will be bought out.

I hope Stan has his agents number on speed dial. For the right price, he could help fill out our center depth nicely.

Yeah would be great for him to come in and slow down the 4th line.

Well Hodgson is pretty bad at faceoffs for a main center and was supposedly moved from center to wing because he is bad defensively. If anyone, it would seem he could reshift his game joining a great team where he just becomes a piece, but there is reasons to think he may just not be worth wasting time on anymore.

Ton has had man crush on Hodgson since we drafted Beach.

Just like how he said Lalonde was gonna be better than Leddy....

Haha, I don't remember saying Lalonde will be better than Leddy. I always liked Leddy. I thought Lalonde would amount to more though. I saw him at his first prospects camp and I thought he would be a scrappy defenseman with skill. He never really developed though. That's the risk with prospects, some plateau early.

I did say that I wished Hodgson dropped to us in that draft over Beach. Was I wrong?

He's still young. He was Vancouver's 2nd/3rd line C only a few years ago when they went to the Cup and he's 25. I'd give him a chance over coke head Mike Richards.

So any chance Saad going to Columbus opens up a spot for Oduya to return?

Saad going to Columbus opens up a lot of options, really. Very intrigued by what'll happen over the next week or so now.

Wouldn't get too crazy, we really don't have much $$$ until Sharp and Bickell go, and even still it would amount to $11 million for 3 defensemen, but we'd be lacking scoring depth.

Not likely, however it may mean that the Blackhawks are able to retain Sharp...or still turn him for a pick and a solid D-man.

Sounds like the Blackhawks are close to signing Viktor Tikhonov from the KHL. Was previously with Phx a few years back.

Too many people are sold on Baun. I think Dandault or McNeill have a better shot then him.

I think it would be funny to see Foley announce games with Danault and Dano in the lineup.
