You really love to just jump on everyone's bandwagon before we know anything about them?

At least he's not on the ledge after any fucking insignificant move like whats his face is.

I just don't see it happening. We'll see what these guys look like in training camp when they are with the team. I'm not holding my breath.

I'd rather see Danault or Hartman get a chance.

Don't get me wrong....I hope he comes in and does well. But I think it's a spot he has to earn more than "penciling" him in the top 6

Personally, I think Dano is much more to get excited about because he has had success at the NHL level in a brief time.

Assuming Sharp and Bickell are going...the Hawks that have spots locked up are - Toews, Kane, Hossa, Anisimov, TT, Shaw, Kruger (soon), Versteeg (would like to see Desi back too). So the next 4 will be up for Panarin, Tikhinov, Dano, and any of the Rockford crew for competition. But definitely not handed to them.

I agree with most of this.

I'm not saying Panarin and Tikhonov can't be successful, but I also think they have to prove a lot to make the team. My expectations: They take the next flight back to Russia after training camp. If they do stick, then great.

There is no such thing as "locked in" with Joel Quinevile as HC, how do people even wrap their brain around thinking anything said by someone under him is thinking of some locked in role or spot. The only thing set for a Q roster that has ever been the case is Toews is the #1 center. You can't even argue Keith as #1 Dman is the set role as the Oduya-Hammer pair in plenty of moments during a season would get top matchup and top icetime getting roles.

I think its a bit presumptuous to assume him in any top 6 role with him never playing a consistant game in North America

Radulov (former Pred) who had 102pts in 154 NHL games...goes to the KHL and tore it up with 71pts in 46gms (173pts in the last 3yrs/128gms)

Panarin has 102pts in the last 2yrs/105gms. Thats not bad for over there....but being undersized, no NA experience and isn't as dominant as Radulov was...who was a decent NHL player but dominant over there.

There is a logically trend to stats, that have shown KHL Points 1. to NHL points .85 in a general statistical comparison by what guys going back and forth deserve.

Radulov also didn't shine until the last 3 years when he's become grown player, he was also great that 1 year he came back to Nashville and played in the playoffs pretty deep.. 2012? or 2011? It's not an every person works out but there is logical expectations one can make based on logical reasoning and data and irrational nonsense like thinking barely top 6 potential players in Hartman or Danult should get any shot at a LW top 6 roster role.

Radulov was 21 when he was a .71 PPG player in Nashville before he first jumped ship to the KHL. Of course as a 26 year old winger with experience and talent he has the potential to be significantly better. But even in the international Tourney's Radulov has shown he's probably the 4th best Russian skater currently. He also is a bit of a jag though

Meh, I've never seen either play. Going by what I've read Panarin is a pretty good offensive forward. But again, KHL and NHL are vastly different. I'm not sold on him but if he shows a bit of skill I wouldn't be surprised if they keep him around just due to his contract.

We shall see.

I can't get on board with that line of thinking. There are too many variables and variances, you can't just take the median and say "this is the rate"... it does not apply IMO.

Hartman and Dandault are known commodities. I don't agree top 6 either but who knows.

Panarin and Tikhinov are not known commodities since they haven't played here yet, and Tikhinov played 61 games with the Yotes as a 20 year old and only put up 16 points. Doesn't seem like they were sad to see him go.

Hopefully Panarin goes to prospects camp and we get a bit of a showing.

The most difficult part of the KHL is surviving the flights. Everything else is gravy

lol, of that conversion rate was even close to being true guys like Matt Ellison, Jonathan Cheechoo, Nigel Dawes and Da Costa would be perfect 2nd-3rd liners in the NHL.

True... if he can't light up prospect camp (if he can even go?) then he has no business in the NHL.

Maybe we should trade Sharp for Ellison to save cap space!

Just redo the entire trade again?

Hey, if that's the conversion rate... then it wouldn't be so bad.

Niemi was 25 when he came to prospects camp. A lot of the college guys are 23-24. So Panarin would fit there, but I don't know if the Hawks are going to do that.

Yeah but isn't Panarin's contract 1-way? I doubt he'll be there, although it would be nice to see.

It is, I guess it just depends on how the Hawks see him. They might want him to skate just to see how he competes against other guys near his age.

I'd like to see the Hawks sign Erhoff on a cheap 1yr/2mil dollar deal. I think he'd fit the system well (Puck moving, good outlet passer, good skater) and was a good PP produced while in VAN

But what do you know?

On an unrelated note...

Q and Bowman should be fired and Saad is awesome!
