I've been in sunny Florida the past few days so I'm going to try and update the main page, but before I do does anybody even look at it or am I wasting time?

Looking at the numbers via generalfanager, all we would need to do is offload Bickell or Sharp, see if Oduya would take a discount of 3 million and have about 1-2 million to float around for cap moves. Oduya could get more depending on who we trade.

I have a strong feeling though we won't see either moved till near the season as Stan I'm sure is waiting for injuries to happen like with Leddy being dealt so late.

I mean, the most talented LW in the UFA market is Semin, and I'd take Sharp over him any day, so it's possible someone might be interested.

The more I think about it, the more this would be my ideal lineup.

(Sharp?) Toews Hossa
Teuvo Asinimov Kane
Panarin Tkichnikov Dano
Shaw Kruger Desjardins

If you keep Bickell, Kane likes him so you slide Teuvo up. Its possible I suppose Panarin-Thinikov don't have to play together, but they have a year of experience together and it makes sense on the least used third line, or if Anisimov is a poor mans 2C as some predicted those two could surprise and Panrin looks a good fit with kane also. Dano looks more like a Shaw player to me the more I watch him. I see third line star.
We also have Versteeg still.

Dano could jump to LW to play with his countryman and Versteeg slides into his spot easily.

We are going to have a great defense particularly if we are able to retain Oduya.

(?) Toews Hossa
Dano Teuvo Kane
Panarin Asinimov Thiknikov
shaw Kruger Desjardins

would require development of the youth.

Is there any particular reason you're completely incapable of spelling "Tikhonov" properly, or is this some kind of running joke I'm unaware of?

TERKHERNERV....Jerkinov, how ever you want to spell it or say it will be on a plane back to Russia before opening day. #calledit

Him and Makarov can commiserate together about not being able to play NHL hockey.

HA!

Exactly why people need to temper expectations on these guys (Panarin, Tikhonov).

Maybe they can call Tony Salmelainen and start a mens league team together after training camp.

Panarin, Tikhonov and Makarov all played on St Petersburg last season, for whatever that is worth......haha, nothing.

Makarov was also never good in the KHL.. so that says a bit of what his worth ever was. Just another terrible Tallon pick like every single one that was not a top 3 pick in the draft or a Swede.

He's been playing over there since not making the Hawks roster.

What about Tony Salmelainen? Best player outside of NA?

Drew LeBlanc, best college player?

The point is, I don't care how many points you score in [insert league here]. If it's not the NHL, then it doesn't mean anything.

Might as well bring over Nigel Dawes and Matt Ellison! Bring back Darren Haydar while we are at it! And where is Chris Bourque when ya need him?

My expectations are pretty low, if something comes from it, great... if not, it's just another rehash of "this player killed it in B-League!!!"

Marty St Pierre used to tear up the AHL, lead it in scoring at least one season and never could stick in the NHL anywhere.

A few of us here saw Makarov play in the prospects camp a few years back and he actually looked pretty good. Played a very NA type game and wasn't just all flash and no defensive game. Hell him and Akim Aliu almost came to blows. Wouldn't say he was terrible, but just never panned out. Plus, he had a loaded Hawks team in front of him and didn't want to play in the AHL any more.

That was from Neely I believe.

Edit... McNeely... I remember hearing those first few punches all the way on the other side of the rink. Fucking littlest guy on the ice too. Aliu was a dbag, and couldn't fight worth shit.

At least i didn't have to goad them on like I did with Greenop and that one guy who finally went on the last day of camp the year before.

Prospect Camp Roster

July 12-17 at Johnny's Icehouse

No Panarin on rosters....but Dano is? He's played in over 20 NHL games. Strange
