I'm not arguing that lol... I said he needs to stay healthy, which has been a challenge for him. Never played a full season in his whole career, if he did he would probably hit around 45-55 points, maybe even 60 with Sharp, Saad, and soon to be Bickell being gone and getting that top line time.
It's hard to count on him for 48 points when he isn't in the lineup for a full year. You gonna pull out some other BS stat to refute that?

I didn't realize it's a BS stat that he actually topped 20g 4 times - not 3. Even not playing full seasons.

I don't be surprised if Versteeg gets a chance playing on the top two lines. Unlike a lot of our non-core players he actually had some skill...when he keeps it simple.

I agree, in fact, I wouldn't really want any of our other wingers playing on the top 2 lines, lol. At this point, you gotta believe he is cemented into the top 2 lines (granted, if Bickell is still leaving). But as far as top 6 minutes? That's another story.
I'm sure Anisimov will probably end up cementing himself in that conversation, but after that, I can't imagine that Versteeg wouldn't put himself into that conversation, hell, Q might even trust him more than TT at this point. You gotta believe that Kruger, if he returns, will be in line for top 6 minutes as well... and Shaw is no stranger to that either. There will be competition for those top 6 minutes, but Versteeg should definitely be in the thick of it all year.

Anisimov I think is going to be our 2nd line center due to the extension he just got. The LW spot with Bickell gone will probably be between Steeg and maybe even Dano. Not too much "skilled forward" depth on our current roster outside of top 4-5 forwards.
