Typical Q. He wants ready now vets that don't do dumb shit and compete to the last tooth. Desjardins, Kruger, Shaw, Dano, Hossa, Toews, Garbutt, Nordstrom (look up his hit statistics and I realized why Q likes him). Part of me hopes we keep Bickell, because we can't underestimate the value we have had in having "that guy" that nobody wants to **** with. Bigfoot smash is real. He can give another teams brawler a bad day and a 2 week headache. I say thats worth 4,000,000. You distract and agitate with our little *******, than bam Seabrook, Hammer, or Bigfoot happens.
I think Bickell played hurt, we know he can play hockey and have an impact at times. Lets hope next playoffs is better rather than pay teams to take his salary. These trades have been terrible largley because we gave up Palliota and Johns in order to shed salary. We had to pay steeply for those trades, and we HAD to do it. We were trapped. I see that Stan left them with upside so we would have a chance to win, and he got a Garbutt level agitator at a rookie price, for us, thats worth more than 1.8 million because it ups our talent on the back end spot where we are thin and can carry a vet but cost a rook. its brilliant.
