I would love to have Roussel on the team. He's actually got some skill and could fill in on a 3rd line . A Roussel-Kruger-Shaw 4th line would be awesome. Imagine them up against Perry/Getzlaf of Backes/Oshie. It would be entertaining and effective at rilling them up.

I agree, but with Hartman coming up... paying Roussel $2M would be more of a luxury than a necessity IMO.

We need a D-man in return for Sharp IMO. All the reports I'm reading are about how the Hawks want a young forward... why? We have Saad, Toews, Kane, Hossa, and Teravainen as 5 of the top 6 forwards. I think that's pretty solid considering we have some pretty good prospects in the pipeline that can play now at forward. Danault, Hartman, Panarin, McNeill, Baun, maybe even Rasmussen, I'm sure 2-3 of them can handle a bottom six role right now. Plug them with Versteeg, Shaw, and maybe Kruger if they can re-sign him and that's a pretty solid group IMO.

Now, I obviously wouldn't want them to bring up all of them... but the point being, if Oduya leaves, we have 3 spots we need filled at defense. I'd rather get a defenseman with experience than rely on a combination of green defenseman to fill out the depth chart. I like TVR, Johns, Paliotta, and Pokka... but I think another vet on D, or at least a seasoned NHL player, would help more than a forward.

I think there is more of a premium on young skilled defensemen more than forwards. But I agree, I'd rather have a defensemen than another forward of which we have plenty of prospects at.

With Panarin, Reilly, and a possible shot at Panarin's center lineman, I'd prefer to coup back the highest pick we can get for sharp and just pick bpa.

Hopefully we see Sharp gone sooner rather than later. Give us fans some excitement for the draft at least.

CHI continuing to work on Patrick Sharp trade, amongst others. But hottest stuff right now appears to be ARI possible trading of No. 3 pick.

The question begs, "Who is that desperate to get Noah Hanifin"?

Wouldn't that be something interesting....

I'm afraid of what we would need to offer to get that. Obviously we have no 1st rounder to add to the deal, so it would have to be Sharp and some top level prospect talent('s).

His father works for the Wild, I assumed he would go there from day one.
