Jalen Smith had a +10 against the Rockets. That's what you call a Team leader.

I mean, Smith had the highest +/- rating of every rotation player except Zach before today. Today's game brings him into the net positives now lol

The numbers through 16 games.

Still leading in pace, still jacking up 3s (and making a solid percentage) while being a terrible defensive team, still turning the ball over excessively.

Individual player wise...
Vuc continues to shoot the lights out. Let's see if it continues long enough to warrant something in a trade.

Patrick Williams, now out with a foot problem (oh no here we go again?), continues to be a reliable 3pt shooter, but his 2pt% is awful. The viral stat is he's 2/7 on dunks or some such. Terrible.

Zach and Coby are pretty much doing what we'd hope and expect. Good on them.

Giddey's shooting numbers have, as I expected, fallen off the cliff. Billy continues to play Ayo over him in crunch time, but Ayo's numbers aren't really wowing anyone either.

Jalen Smith's stats don't really jump out at you, and his shooting stats have started to drop also, but his plus minus numbers continue to be oddly high (relatively speaking, as naturally as a losing team all the plus minus numbers look bad).

Somehow Dalen Terry's shooting numbers look respectable now.

looking at individual +-, looks like the bulls should play ayo, giddey, pwill, and coby less. and play THT, Craig, and duarte more.

but then again, if the goal is to tank, then play those 4 more lol

Clearly the Bulls are faking Lonzo's injury to tank :troll:

Never been a big fan of +/- in general. Lot of variables. It’s a fun stat to look at, but definitely not without its short comings.

It's sad that the Bulls are so uninspiring that it's been nearly 10 days since this forum had a post.

It's a funny thing, even winning teams are seeing drops in fan participation. People are just bored with watching 3 point shooting contests, and are resorting to more bandwagoning and simply showing up for the playoffs. It's not this magical thing some of us witnessed when Michael Jordan changed the entire world of sports.

The Bulls are just stale, so many fans wanted Zack gone years ago so they don't really care about him setting the 3pt record.
Who is optimistic in Balls ability to stay healthy and perform at a high level.
PWill is out again, not that we missed him against the Nets.
Vuc showing up in great shape this year, but reminding us that he really didn't try to get in shape when the team was healthier a few seasons ago.
So what do you have left? Long term projects, players tying up cap space, and nobody worth a damn that is jumping to sign here. Shit, I bet the players show up with compressed discs to every game just driving through the off-road city streets.

I don't blame anyone for breaking up with the Bulls, for questioning their loyalty, or simply losing their interest. It's pretty healthy to not add more stress in your life. I'm still going to watch, *****, moan, praise, and do all the bullshit that comes with Chicago sports, but everything we can say, is just beating a dead horse.

Who knows, maybe it will become like the Cubs. Where you go for the history and atmosphere and enjoy the game, but it's become the lovable losers 2.0. If that winds up being the best case scenario, how much insult to injury is that?

In many ways, they're already in some form lovable losers...except for posters here they're probably more deplorable losers. They're clearly not trying to tank, which you can argue one way or the other on that, but also clearly not good enough to even be a .500 team. Not hard to see why engagement is low, even taking the modern NBA style of play out of the equation (it's a whole other conversation lol).

The one thing I do find interesting so far is the complete 180 Vucevic has done with his shooting. His complete drop off and resurgence is something I doubt has occurred in other players...presuming he shoots somewhere around 40% from 3 to finish the year, which it is entirely plausible he does not if he were to suddenly revert back to the Vuc we've seen for the last 3 years.
