Hardman has to stay in line-up after tonight.

I think the emerging line-up is...

Kurashev-Taser-Kubacat
El Gato-Cyborg-AmeriGOAT
Hagelstorm-Dach-Johnson
Hardman-Carp-Strome

Jones-Murphy
McCabe-De Haan
Stillman-Kalynuk

Reichel and Nylander don’t belong in Rockford.

Why are they still there?
We don't want to rush Reichel like we did Dach. Let the kid properly develop and don't rush him onto an NHL squad.

Nylander had his opportunity in the preseason, like Strome, to step up his play and show that he belongs. He failed to do so. While I'm certain he'll get a shot sometime in the season, I'm not expecting much from a player who, like the GM who acquired him, is riding on Daddy's coattails. I don't think he'll be more than a player who looks great in the A but sucks in the NHL.

Normal service has resumed sadly. I know that whilst the situation in terms of Davidson being interim GM/VP etc to keep Colliton at the helm is hurting us even more. Time to pull the trigger and end Collitons tenure and put Crawford in as interim HC. At least it may spark some reaction from the team and improve performances and results. Lets face its we don't have much to lose in trying that as sticking with Colliton is achieving nothing.
A couple good kicks in the back might get their attention.

It’s trades like this that piss me off.

If that’s all it takes to get an elite center, you make that trade every single time. Eichel at 50% is better then everything the Sabres got back.

I wonder if the guy is truly crippled.

Buffalo showing Blowman the proper way to rebuild. Snatch up teams best prospects on top of getting high draft picks for value.

We get Bret Connolly

Well... it's not all that is takes to get an elite center. It's all that it takes to get a severly injured center who is going into surgery and won't even play this year and may never been the same again. The cost is lower than an elite plug and play center because the risk is much higher here. The dude is having artificial disc replacement and the alternative was fusion. To wonder if he's actually injured is batshit crazy.

Snipped to address specific point: Bowman's actually been doing this all along; he's just doing a terribly shit job at it. He is -- err, was -- all about taking chances on former high draft picks from other teams: Dano, Nylander, Perlini, Jurco, the list is endless.

You roll the dice on Jack Eichel.

The guys a better version of Toews. Even if he doesn’t play again the Knights GM can say “hey we tried” and still didn’t give up that much

High draft picks and best prospects are two different things tho

Didn't give up that much? They gave up 2 prospects, a first and a second, and got him and a third back, for a roll for the dice. That's not nothing. Especially given the difficulty of any back surgery. Glad the GMs can saw, hey we tired, that's basically all Bowman can say about this season so far.

He may be a better version of Toews, but he's also 25, and he's not even better than Toews this year because he can't play.

EDIT: also, how the hell can you say "Snatch up teams best prospects on top of getting high draft picks for value." and they didn't give up much, in consecutive posts. I think you might be having was Rask is having.

Fair enough, but in many of those cases, at that time, those players were one and the same. I mean, Dano was supposed to be like the second coming of Kane or something when he was acquired, lol.

Actually…..

Krebs is the best player coming back and that right now is on potential. Krebs if he lives up to everything won’t be Eichel at 50%.

Tuch is a third liner. The first is top ten protected, a third/second round pick has little value.

Thats a lot to give up for a huge risk, but not a lot if Eichel doesn’t play again. Buffalo just got free money.

I thought Dano was the second coming of Ruutu? I might be mistaken

How did Dano go from 8G 21PTS in 35 games in Columbus to a complete bust!?

BTW: You could make an argument that Peyton is number two behind Jordan, but it really is Patrick Kane.

Did someone really say Urlacher?

Giggle my ass off.

That’s easy, look who is coach was.

Richards put him in a position to succeed. Dano was on a bum slayer line that took advantage of mis matches because he had faith in his stars going against other teams stars.

It also didn’t hurt that Dano was a hit machine for that brief time. I think he had almost 100 hits in 35 games.

Why worry about Bowman anymore? The loser is gone.
